I just got back from wine tasting with my wife at Balic Winery. The whole experience was terrible. First of all, they only have 3 dry red wines on their tasting menu and they all tasted the same, like they had 1 batch and just poured it into different bottles and labeled it differently. Then I went on to the dry whites. The Riesling tasted like water. I seriously thought that the server had a bottle with water in it that she poured by mistake. Despite the fact that the wine was not good, I was still planning to buy a couple bottles. I wanted to take another round through the reds to decide which one I wanted to purchase. The server refused to let me try the reds again. I actually thought she was kidding and laughed, but no, she was serious. So instead of selling at least 1 bottle, they ended up selling nothing because the server was too cheap to pour 3 sips of wine. Way to go lady! Plus I live 15 minutes away and this is by far the closest winery to me so I definitely would have been a repeat customer. But I guess they are well off enough with their tiny crappy south jersey winery that they dont need sales and repeat customers.

Drove 3 hours to get the best White Cream wine ever! This winery is truly worth visiting. Took this trip over the weekend. Had never been. They had a band, some food and a wine tasting going on, bonus was they took us for a tour of the grounds. This is the only wine I have found that does not give me a headache after having a glass. The staff are very down to earth and so nice. If you get a chance you could do a day trip or mKe a weekend of it. This event was two days.

Visited the Mays Landing and the Mullica Hill locations. They have great fruit wines. The blackberry and raspberry are excellent. Sure I'll be back there again.

Loved this place! On a trip to Atlantic CIty recently, I wanted to do something other than just gamble! Since I love wines I figured I'd check out what wineries they had around. I chose this one because of the interesting selection of wines and the amount of sweet and semi-sweet/semi-dry wines they had (the only kinds I liked). For the first time ever, I liked every wine I tasted! And, all of the fruits wines are made with 100% real fruit and not fruit syrup which most wineries use. There's also a different selection! They have huckleberry, pomegranate, blueberry, blackberry (my personal fav), mango, cherry, cranberry, etc. My boyfriend liked a dry red wine called Alexander the Great which is also a big seller for them. I didn't like it but then again, I don't like dry wines! But every sweet wine is superb! If I wasn't on a budget, I would've walked out with cases but I kept it only to 4. And, the mango was on back order so the owner, Bojan, will be calling us when it's available in 2-3 weeks which I will then be ordering a case of wine! Don't miss out on this place! Free tasting, great owner, great wine! Don't be surprised if you leave with at least a case!

Stopped by for a tasting, waited several minutes for someone to appear, then he asked how we found winery, "google", phone rang and he dissapeared again. Waited and he did not return. We gave up.

Like another reviewer we happened on this winery by accident. As we were on a tasting getaway weekend we stopped in to see what we could discover. What we found was another Jersey Gem of a winery. Bojan, who's Uncle owns the winery came out to pour our tastings. The tasting is free, which was a pleasant surprise. Bojan's love of the vine and pride in his families product is clearly evident. He has a extensive product line with thirty different kinds of wine with many fruit wines to choose from and he can tell a story about each and every one! It was unique that some of these wines are made of or blended with grapes that hail from Macedonia. Alexander The Great red and Napoleon Bonaparte white are his biggest sellers and make a solid addition to our home selection.

My husband and I drove past this winery by accident and it was the biggest surprise we ever encountered. First off we were welcomed by the owner and his son, both extremely nice. Their wine tastings are free. You may try as many wines as you like. I love sweet wines and the pomegranate wine is so lovely. They don't add any sugar to their fruit wines...just pure fruit.I am a BIG blueberry wine lover and it is very hard to find one that does not have the after taste, but oh my goodness Balics blueberry wine is so sweet and wonderful. We bought 6 bottles of wine including a white cream wine. All excellent wines.I highly recommend this winery!

We stopped at this small winery on our trip from Atlantic City to Philadelphia, and it was worth the trip. The staff was very knowledgeable, and they shared a lot of history about the winery with us. We purchased several bottles, but we loved the pomegranate wine the most. It is divine.

We followed signs to Balic Winery for their "Gala Extravaganza" which was advertised to take place between noon and four, with food pairings, entertainment, and vineyard tours. We arrived around two. Aside from being the only two guests there, the food pairings never happened, and there was no offer of a tour. The wine pourers (yes, the first left inexplicably and another poured the last two) were less than enthusiastic. A couple of the wines were decent. Others so-so. But the entertainment? One man with an electric guitar and a beautiful voice playing classic rock tunes! Had the staff been friendlier, I may have given this three stars.

My friend and I went to Balic as part of our wine trail getaway. The man who owns Balic served us at the tasting. He was fun to talk to and seemed interested in our backgrounds. The wines were good and I bought a few bottles to take home. It's worth checking out.

The owner greeted us promptly, we had a very nice tasting. He has won many awards for his wines. The dry red varieties were my favorite but he has a lot of fruit wines too and I bought a bottle of Pomegranate as a gift. I bought 3 bottles here, the wines were very good. I would definitely recommend it.

My husband and I stop here 4 or 5 times a year to pick up a case of Alexander the Great, a premium red wine which we were told is brought in from the region of Macedonia and bottled at Balic Winery. This family run business also produces other excellent home grown reds and whites at reasonable prices. The winery stages events from time to time but unfortunately, we have never been able to attend any. The staff is very friendly, informed, and generous with tastings.
