Wonderful hiking trails, never really crowded, this is a wonderful get away from it all experience. If you are lucky you will see bald eagles or their nests.

Thanks to the Nature Conservancy and lots of volunteers who created this place. It is along the river but there are many trails which take you through different landscapes. Our favorite place to take out dogs for a long walk

This is a very interesting Nature Conservancy preserve offering a system of attractive hiking trails on the bluffs located along the scenic Maurice river. There are Blue, Orange, Red, and White Trails and a long Yellow Trail. All of them have unique features. For starters hills are not what you otherwise see, experience and expect in Southern New Jersey and these trails do offer a variety of terrains including fantastic rolling and at times steep hills. There are numerous literally breath taking view points in this preserve. Long trail includes artesian well with refreshing water and ruins of old industrial riverside complex. Floating dock is a convenient spot to watch the tidal river. The bird blind gives unique opportunity to bird watch and observe wetlands fauna. There are ruins of an old homestead and remnants of an old garden in the preserve. It is a good picnic place as well. A few lovely spots have picnic tables. But more than anything this preserve is also a one of a kind and complex habitat. Practically anytime you come here you will see many songbirds, ospreys and bold eagles, . A very beautiful outdoor attraction of Southern New Jersey! You have to look for an entrance sign on Silver Run Road. It will lead you to a parking lot and trail-heads.
