This little village of restored, relocated and recreated Colonial homes & buildings is open to visitors during certain hours on weekdays and Sunday afternoons 1-4 (with guided tours are also available on select days/times). It has been a favorite spot for many years because of its dedication to preserving local history. It is utterly charming to walk around and visit even when the buildings are not open to the public. There are also lovely gardens to experience. When the buildings are open, it's wonderful to go inside and talk to the local historians and see the lovingly created exhibits including historical artifacts and photos. They do seem to rotate exhibits from time to time, and they are also always doing restoration work so even if you have been once, I would recommend going again (and again as we do!). Bonus is that afterwards you can visit Johnson park which is right next door.
