The Short Hills Mall has been around a long time and has evolved from just a few stores, mainly B. Altman & Co. into one of New Jersey’s premier shopping malls featuring many high end and luxury stores, yet still offers an affordable Macy’s. This fully enclosed mall is a great place to explore on those cold and snowy days.

One of the most scale malls I've ever been to. Neimans, Saks, Nordstroms and just about every small designer you've heard of.

Be sure to bring ALL your money when you shop here. I am not much for malls anyway, but this one is really over the top in its display of conspicuous consumption.

If you are nearby and want to shop come here. Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue, Bloomingdale's, and Macy's anchor this mall. With almost every store you can think of, and plenty of parking. The after New Year's sales are in effect and the prices are really reduced. To see brick-and-mortar stores packed with people buying stuff with all the opportunities online to shop shows you that there is still the good old fashion way to buy things.

An exceptional alternative to shopping in NYC. You can get so much more done in less time. Sure it is high end shopping but not snobbish. Coming from Europe for many years, this was a good tip from our son who lives in NJ. WE came by car.Not sure how public transport from NYC would get you their. Actually staying on that side of the river also for the night saves you many $$$$.We will go back next visit for sure. Highly recommended.

We took our niece for the Frozen exhibit. It was ok but they need a way to better manage the traffic. We waited 3 hours to enter the palace. It was ok, not impressive. The mall is clean and the stores are nice. Very high end,

We have been to this Mall once a year for the past few years. The Multi-story carparks are easily accessible and useful for bad weather days.Realtively good range of high end designer clothing, watches and jewellery and homeware goods. Not sure why they need to put a Rolls Royce 2 Door, a Bentley, Porche Cayman and Audi on display in the walkways, as there are enough high end shops and their high prices to impress.Even Macy's here appeared somewhat upmarket, although the high volume of products, sales signage, narrower aisles makes one know that it is a Macy's. Christmas decorations and the Santa House area also stood out as nice and different. Tuesday afternoon today, sees a long queue of parents and children waiting to meet Ssnta.

They have great shops & lots of parking. Only downside is that the mall hallways could be kept cleaner.

"Hark the Herald Angels Sing,Your wallet you'll surely bring!"Yup - the Short Hills Mall is doing a great business, but bring along plenty of cash if you want to do much shopping here, because this place is NOT into hosting discount stores. Everyone shopping here is immaculately dressed, and all the stores are high-fashion brands. We ate lunch here, and I also bought some high-end Godiva chocolates as well. However, purchasing any clothing here is beyond my means. Still, it's fun to walk around and see the sights and people-watch. Santa is here already as well, although even he seemed to be on the affluent side! This is a great place to browse and buy, if you have the cash. Parking is usually OK, with at least two garages to keep you dry. I do recommend it.

We found this mall after looking for something to do while having some time to fill before a flight from Newark. As has already been said there are some shops that are more upmarket but it was still nice to walk around, even if we didn't buy anything (good job we didn't find this at the start of our holiday as I think I may have spent the entire budget in one go). It was easy to get to from our airport hotel and was really quiet when we arrived. Plenty of parking. Would recommend :)

Great mall, but high-end stores. Nice to window shop & some affordable places. But having Porsches and Bentley's on show in the corridors gives you an idea of the clientele.

I stopped into this mall, just to get some nice skin cream (Kiehl's). I'd never been before. I'm accustomed to nice malls, but nothing like this. I walked into Neiman Marcus and was handed a glass of champagne. Wow. A special event, no doubt, but it speaks volumes about the clientele that frequents this complex, and the superlative boutiques and department stores that serve them. Dress appropriately and enjoy an extraordinary shopping experience.

Let me start off by saying wow....this place does not only carry all the luxury brands but the service that you receive absolutely top notch without a doubt!! Bill in the men's shoes section was beyond words. His customer service was just unbelievable.....he was patient with me...and I mean geniuely patient with me while I took at least 3 hours looking for shoes for my boyfriend. Bill deserves a promotion of some sort or some high recognition of his service. Ladies and gents whenever u go to Neiman Marcus men's department go see Bill! He's just simply amazing in every way!!!

This is definitely one of the nicest malls I've ever shopped in. When I lived in NJ, it was worth the drive. You have every upscale anchor store you could want...Neiman Marcus, Saks, Nordstrom, and Bloomingdale's. There is a great selection of small stores. My husband enjoyed the resting areas where he could wait for me while on his computer. There are numerous nice restaurants. It is clean and easy to navigate. What more could you want from a mall?
