If you want to step back in time stop in Groveton NH on route 2. It is quiet and quaint. The covered bridge will draw your attention and once you step inside you will marvel are the craftsmanship of the builders. The bridge is now just a walking bridge that connects to a trail but it has wonderful views of the river flowing below it. Don't forget to check out the train in the park. That engine was used to move the lumber to the paper mill that was the lively hood of Groveton. Then take a look at the veteran memorial, every family had a member on those plaques.
