We went for a 2 1/2 hour snowshoe on the shore and through the woods, over and under the bunkers. Beautiful views, free parking.

Had a great walk around the park on a nice day with my husband here! Cute little historical facts around the park and plenty of benches to stop, sit, and enjoy the beach.

The science center there is a great visit. Good even on a sunny day but a rainy day with 4 grandchildren with loads of energy it becomes a great place!

Very nice state park with easily accessible trails through the woods and along the coast. We found interesting stone ruins of buildings and roads. Trails are nicely maintained for easy hiking (at least in the areas we explored). Nice views of the water. There is also a science center here, although we didn't go in.

When I saw that there was an ocean-side state park just an hour from me in New Hampshire, I had to go and check it out. Simply put: I was not disappointed at all.I don't think I can sum up everything this park has to offer. Fantastic ocean views, bike trail, plenty of hiking trails, beach walks, sandy beaches, rocky coasts, seashells galore...it's all hear. I spent my first 30 minutes hear just walking along the rockier part of the coast collecting seashells. There were shells GALORE down there to choose from which was rather exciting. It was some of the best I've been able to find up this way so far. From there I took to some of the trails in the forest to look at the old remnants of the Battery Seaman. I was surprised at just how massive it was! There are two main chunks of it that have not been overgrown that you can see along the trails. I know that graffiti comes with the territory of old forts and such, but here I really wish there wasn't so much of it. I just don't like that much history covered in it.From the battery I continued on to Frost Point, which had a great view across the harbor and a sandy beach to one side that was little bug-ridden but still a nice little walk. I then walked the rocky/sandy shoreline back to the main parking area, just taking in the ocean along the way. This park is absolutely fabulous and I can't wait to make a trip to it when it warms up next year. From my first trip today, it looks like this place is definitely worth the $4/adult fee to visit in the summertime.

This State Park has 135 acres of the most gorgeous scenery! There are places to picnic, walk, sit and watch the sailboats, or explore the old military and historical sites, woodlands, tidepools, freshwater and salt ponds, and rocky sandy beach. Also on the Park grounds is the Seacoast Science Center, an educational marine life facility which is also enjoyable. I loved the many wildflowers along the trails, and the day I visited Odiorne Park, I was treated to the wonderful experience of seeing several flocks of migrating Canada Geese in V-formation overhead! I will definitely make it a point to visit this park when I'm in New England next year!

Odiorne Point State Park is a great place to visit if you are a history buff or "into" Marine Science. The Park itself is beautiful and has a playground and picnic tables near the ocean and the tide pool, and the Science Center has excellent activities for children and adults and a well organized display of the history of the area.

I discovered Odiorne Point years ago, when it was home to a couple of letterboxes. After that, I was hooked. It's a surprising park with a wide range of activities for anyone who loves the outdoors. It's the perfect spot for a picnic on a hot day, because -- since it's on a point that extends into the ocean -- you'll almost always find cooler breezes there. Those same breezes make it a delight for anyone flying a kite, and the park is so spacious, you'll have plenty of room for running to get your kite aloft.Hikers will enjoy a variety of trails, most of them safe enough for the entire family. Even the steeper ones, towards the north side of the park, can be managed by 5 to 8 year olds, with a helping hand from an adult.Nature enthusiasts will find many varieties of plants and trees. Take a guidebook with you, if you're visiting with children, so identifying plants can be a game. The vistas are impressive, especially if you climb any hills, so cloud identification can be included in your activities. The skies are wide and unobstructed from many points in the park.Historians will enjoy the fascinating wartime history of the site, as well as its maritime history. Don't miss the massive bunker or the cannon mounts. The views are spectacular for photographers and plein air landscape painters. If you're a photographer, take your camera on one of the northernmost trails. An added bonus is the Seacoast Nature Center with great exhibits and scheduled activities for all ages. The hands-on activities are usually unique and wonderful fun for the family.Nearby, you'll find bike trails and boat launches, and you're a short drive from Portsmouth (lots to see and do), as well as Rye, and you'll be comfortably near north Hampton as well as Hampton Beach.Parking fee is low (or free, in the off-season and at off hours), and the Seacoast Nature Center can have an admission fee, but all are well worth it.I have seen food vendors there, but not always. I'm not sure if the beverage machine is seasonal, either. It's best to pack a lunch and beverages, just in case.

My wife and I had a very beautiful four mile hike with wonderful views. The ground is mostly flat although it is not paved. We had a great time.

Little hikes, comb the rocky beach, visit the aquarium/science area, picnic, play Frisbee... it's all good.

Always make sure to stop at the park every time I go to Wallis Sands down the street! Highly recommend for families with children...

This was a small park with good ocean views, easy paths, and a playground. It was a good place to get out and stretch and move. I recommend this place for families with young children. Nice playground and tables. The views are pretty and it clean.

Great family place for all sorts of activities. Beach, trail hiking, bike riding and science center. Would return to explore more and kayak!

Love this park. Picnic tables, playground, walking paths, and the Seacoast Science Center on property too! A lot to do in a little spot.
