This is a wonderful restoration of a beautiful old downtown school. There are many shops and some businesses here. It's a great place to browse.

The big old school was fun to go into but I understand at this time of year there are not many vendors there. This was disappointing. I did enjoy looking at the quilt shop and the different styles.

The Old Central School is a gem and it is so wonderful it was saved from meeting the same fate that so many old buildings have had. They have a beautiful staircase and the building has a lot of character. It is no longer a school but is the home to several wonderful shops. One of which is a great guilt shop. Certainly worth a stop.

I've visited the Old Central School several times. I always enjoy walking around and imagining how things looked when the building was full of school children and teachers. The shops are fun to explore. The quilt shop is one of my favorites. You can buy something to eat and drink at the café. During the summer, there was an artist-in-residence working way up in the top-most floor. It was worth the climb.

We enjoyed the Yellow Brick Road, the Wizard of Oz Mural, and the Central School. We met the folks at Baby Steps and enjoyed our visit. They are doing great work!

Beautiful old building with some shops but not enough to keep anyone there for more than an hour. Summer weekends are packed in Grand Rapids and the place was closed on Sundays.

What a treasure Grand Rapids has in this old scool! The fact that they have preserved it is a credit yo them! I just wish there was more shopping inside!

This is a really beautiful building and with so much history! Beautifully preserved. There is not much inside of interest but there is a coffee shop, some crafting corners and more. Worth a visit!

Went back there last year. What memories!!!!! I attended 5th grade there many, many years ago. Got to see my old classroom, even if it was full of junk. Stood on the balcony where we used to square dance, always worried about the creaking floor. Thank God they preserved it. There are a number of historical artifacts there that are worth seeing. It's worth a quick stop when your in town.

Historical landmark in center of town. Worth a visit w several shops and a yellow brick road as Grand Rapids is birthplace of Judy Garland.

This is A fun place just to drop in and do some shopping or have lunch. If you have time there are alot of things to look at on the second floor. If you went to school here as a child you will really enjoy it as most of the interior remains the same.

We checked out the old school, looked through all of the shops. The room devoted to Judy Garland was interesting. Enjoyed the artisan shop that sold wood items and pottery. The old school itself was unique with it's old oak staircases and woodwork.

They carry the best candles in the world. Way better than Yankee candles. They are made right here in Minnesota. If you get the chance stop in and ask about Minnesota Soy Candle Company candles.

Stopped in thinking there was an antique store, but there is not. It consists of an art gallery and museum, and pastry/coffee/sandwich shop. The buidling itself is a jewell, and with time, this will be a really interesting attraction. We justd had latte's and bran muffin at the pastry shop, and while I think they are getting used to making custom orders llike latter, the quality was excellent.
