Have been up here a few times, and it's always enjoyable... even just the drive up to the main headquarters. There is an interpretive center that gives visitors a good idea f what the center provides, wildlife around etc. The main buiding also has some interesting displays. Main purpose is well-served: to introduce young people to the woods -- teaching them to recognize and value our natural environment, find mushrooms, learn archery, canoeing and other outdoor skills, etc. Thre is a dorm and cafeteria that serves the gourps during their stays -- some overnights but many 3 days toa week long. The facility also hosts classes for adults on hunting, cross-country skiing, and much more. Visiti he website for addtional details, and plan to visit whenever you get the chance!
