This is a small family apple farm. They have fresh baked, still hot, apple pies and pastries. Of coarse there's the apples, but also fresh local honey and other sweets. Late fall they also have pumpkins for sale. A great place to take the kids.

We really enjoyed walking through the candy store. Brought back memories from childhood. Very fun atmosphere!

We are local and have been customers of Jim's since 1997. We used to enjoy Jim's so much more before the main focus became candy. Now, to be fair, they do have an amazing assortment of candy, as well as sodas and all sorts of other things. But the original idea of the store seems to have been lost somewhere along the way. We miss the focus on apple-related products, and baked goods. It went from a charming orchard-type place to a huge, touristy, crowded candy store. I guess this is what they want, and they are never short on customers as the place is packed all the time, but as for us we went from weekly shopping to once or twice per season. If you go, bring a checkbook or cash, as they do not accept plastic. There is an ATM on site. Bus tours are common and it's almost always packed to the gills inside so be prepared for a busy crowd. They also sell pumpkins in the fall. The strudel is very good. The pies are good, but overpriced. They usually have a decent selection of the current crop of apples but do sell out of the favorites quickly.

We go here quite often. I have to get a carmel Apple every visit and my boyfriend has to get a strudel everytime! The pies are amazing! There is more candy then you will ever see! And puzzles galore! It's a place that has to be visited!

This place has just about every variety of candy and specialty sodas you can imagine. The puzzle selection, however, was the best. If you like jigsaw puzzles this is the place! They had many very high quality puzzles. Prices were a little higher than I was happy with though. I got possibly the best and freshest caramel apple I'd had in years. They only take cash and checks, no credit cards. But there are ATMs every 15 feet or so.

Bright yellow buiding with interesting signs made us do a quick turn in this place . Largest candy shop, largest puzzle store, over a hundred root beers...and we were not dissappointed. Bought some soda, some candy (including those nasty candy cigarettes which taste so good) Bought ketchup potato chips. Going back real soon with daughter and grandaughters to start some unique Christmas shopping, It is the size of a football field! More varieties of soda, candy, chips, jellies, honey, sauces, pies,Whoopie Pies (although I am a Mifflin co Pa girl and there were some there I wouldn't try) popcorn,EVERY KIND of taffy & licorice. And while you are enjoying the goodies, thee are puzzles of every type to purchase. YOU GOTTA GO!!

Bring your cash to this sweet roadside attraction. If you love soda in a bottle any type of candy or strange energy drinks this is the place for you. Mostly just open in the non-winter months this place is serving up major doses of candy. Everytime I come here I find some great candy I hadn't seen in years. Personally my favorite part is the bottles of soda and the energy drinks. So many strange energy drinks like ghostbusters slimer juice and Betty Boop juice this place really has it all.

I was just GREAT! HUGE, and I mean HUGE selection of candy and other goodies. Wow!! Overload on choices. I like the "old school-ness" about it too (no credit/debit cards, but they take checks and of course, cash). Pricing is lower than most places -- any pumpkin is $4! Candy pricing is very reasonable as well.

Wow, took our last day trip before school year started. Well worth it. Huge selection of soda, some of the weirdest flavors I have ever seen (Martian Poop Marionberry Soda) and old fashioned soda made with real cane sugar (Nehi, Nesbitt's, Dr. Pepper). Candy galore and don't forget the fresh apple pies and caramel apples. Already planning our return trip.

HEADS UP NO CREDIT/DEBIT CARDS EXCEPTED. ONLY CASH OR CHECK! It is a really quirky place to stop. Rows upon rows of Candy and apple products. What is great about this place is you can find candies from when you were a child and not made anymore. Young or old they have something for you. That being said they are overpriced and it is a gimmick. Watch the white price tags versus what may be on the box. I looked at a box of cherry hard candy. The price printed on the box for 20 cents and they had a white tag on the back for fifty cents for example. Fun environment but again they can jack the prices up.

We were in Mpls. for a family reunion and one person in our party suggested this-- it was definitely a hit! It's labeled the largest candy store in Minnesota for a reason. Going into the experience we knew they didn't accept credit cards so that didn't bother us. There is So Much to look at-- the largest collection of jigsaw puzzles I've seen, unique soda flavors (Kitty Piddle, Ranch Dressing, Buffalo Wings as well as more traditional flavors), candy spanning the decades (items I haven't seen since childhood), baked goods such as wonderful pies, and apparently an abundance of apples when in season. The two teenagers in our party verbally reported it to be "fun." Enough said.

I first stopped here three years ago when traveling back to school in Mankato. My first stop I spent roughly $50. The service is great (don't believe the bad reviews). They do only take cash, and the place is family run. Mind blowing selection of candy, amazing pies that are perfect every time. Huge variety of sodas, as well as some meats and chocolates. We try to stop here a couple time a year when they are open from around mid July to thanksgiving.

An absolute must see if you enjoy candy and beverage choices from the past. They also have an awesome assortment and huge inventory of puzzles. Their fresh made pastries are fabulous - and made on site. Apple tasting and choice are again amazing. There is so much inventory you should plan on being there a while. Fall is a favorite time of mine to visit although the crowds are huge.

Having really enjoyed our visit here it is hard to believe the negative reviews. To anyone older it is definitely a trip down memory lane. We could go on and on about all the different candy, soda and other odd chips, sauces etc. Really is great to find so many interesting items in one place. You will see just about any candy you have ever seen before and one heck of a lot of things you have never seen.Yes when you start grabbing all kinds of fun items the prices do add up, so not taking credit cards can be an issue. But, if you have found this place from looking on the web, you should certainly know it up front. They do take checks. The woman who checked us out was friendly, knowledgeable, and very quick. Everything about our visit was great.

I drive by Jim's Apple Farm a couple times a month. It is a delight to the eyes and to the palate. While I don't partake in the sweets often, seeing all the candies from my childhood nearly 50 years ago is wonderful. Even though it advertises as Minnesota's largest candy store, that is only one aspect of the store. If one enjoys jigsaw puzzles, there are literally thousands of puzzles to choose from in most price ranges. If that were not complete, there are hundreds of different kinds of sodas, flavored popcorn, and many other delights. There are fresh baked pies to take home also. Some premade and hot out of the oven, others frozen and ready for the oven and still others made to order. In addition they have old time cheery music which puts most people in a good mood if they weren't before. I highly recommend this stop!!
