Great rates if you are a resort guest. Definitely worth a play if you are in the area. Shot makers course with large greens. Good service and nice lounge for conversation on the 19th hole.

Well maintained and accomodating staff. One of the pricier @ $65 but worth it. The fairways are not hook or slice friendly but the pines make it fairly easy to locate a stray ball. Each hole unique for the others so you don't think you just played it.

Very well kept golf course. Tight fairways so be accurate! Good price both for golf and inside the pro shop.

Nice course that is relatively easy to get on to and nice restuarant. Good carts. Course has some pinch points where driving straight is rewarded. Greens are consistantly kept in good shape. A couple of scenic holes near the clubhouse.

Thumper Pond has continued to grow and improve since they open on the east side of Ottertail lake. The course is maintained very well and they are happy to take your reservation for a T-time and accomodate you or your group. Knowledgable guys in the Club House and Willy T's Restaurant/Bar is a great place for good food or to bring the family and friends. My only complaint is the green fees are a little high for me but we seem to make it over there a couple times a summer to golf. It's a highlight of our golf season!

Enjoyed the food very much. Very busy place, but did not have to wait long for our food. Wait staff very attentive and friendly.

Thumper is a great golf course, I live about 20 mintues from the course and love this course, too bad my slice doesnt. Fairways are lined with pine trees so if you are a beginner you should bring extra balls.

i like to golf occasionally but i do prefer mini golf to regular golfing... it is still fun to go and ride around in the golf carts

Thumper Pond is an interesting course in that the front and back have completely different personalities....the front is a little tighter generally and except for one hole seems shorter. It is generally a well kept course with enough variety and challenges to keep things interesting. I would certainly recommend it to anyone in the Ottertail MN area.

We went to Thumper Pond as part of a stay and play package where we received unlimited golf and hotel for a very reasonable price. I'm glad we did this because the regular rates for the golf course are pretty high. The young man working in the pro shop, Zack, was very helpful and very polite. He showed great customer service skills for a 17-18 year old and was able to inform us on other attractions in the area that we visited later in the week. The course itself was in spectacular shape. Each hole was very scenic and presented a different challenge. I would highly recommend golfing here at least once, even with the slightly overpriced rates. The stay and play package is a great deal! We will definitely be back in the future.

Thumper Pond Golf Course is well groomed, inviting, and suitable for any level golfer. The young man behind the desk at the course was helpful, gracious, and enthusiastic. This has got to be one of the greatest golf bargins in Minnesota. We stayed over night in the comfortable hotel with a relaxing whirlpool. The room was large and clean, and it included a little fridge, a microwave, and a pot for coffee in the am, but the restaurant is steps away, and all enclosed in the Thumper Pond complex. The Red Cedar Restaurant had specials for people dining before 6:30, and we took advantage of the low price but high quality cuisine. Surprise: as a celebratory birthday treat, dessert was free - and fantastic, tantalizing "Raspberry/Chocolate Cheesecake" in a generous portion which was just right for two. ;-)Probably the best part was the available help and friendly service. They gave it a down home feel in an exquisite atmosphere. What's not to like?
