This might not be the right course for the "serious" golfer because of the few blind targets and the huge drop on 17, but the views are spectacular. This is a cart only course which may also steer some people away, but there is no way you would want to walk the highlands. I have not been on the lowlands, but I am looking forward to trying it. I was worried because I saw that the ownership had changed hands a while back, but the coarse was in great shape. It is also a casual atmosphere so no worries about stuffy country club types evaluating your swing at every t-box. We will definitely return.

This course has four different 9 hole courses on it, laid out as two 18 hole courses. I prefer the lowlands course when playing as I find it more interesting to my sense of fun. The upper course provides breathtaking views of the surrounding area, but sacrifices some distance do to the space limitations on some holes. If it is a warm day with little wind, I would recommend the uppers as you have a better chance of a breeze. If you get a chance make sure you take the opportunity and play it, you will be amazed.

All new operations. Better than ever!Wish I had more time to stay in Red Wing, but duty calls! Will be back in August for another review. Check out the new MNGL!

The course had two 18's. They ,apparently, ran into financial problems. The course is now closed and has been all season. The "word" is that it is being maintained in hopes that a buyer can be found. Hence, the "terrible" rating I gave it.

This golf course is now closed as of 11/01/2012.To bad it truly was one of the most beautiful courses in the state, and it played very well also.

One of my favorite courses I've ever played. It sits right along the Mississippi River and provides incredible views. When you're on the #2 tee box, turn around for a great vista over the valley. The par 3's are unique and can be challenging. Powered carts are a must; even with them you'll get plenty of exercise getting to the greens and tee boxes - very hilly. I can't overstate how beautiful this course is!
