I visited Treasure Island for a night recently and everything was fine. I enjoyed the hotel, and was happy the bed didn't have the old brown bedspreads. However, the bedspread did not seem clean as I found some hairs on it, and it just smelled soiled. I ripped it off immediately.Honestly, as usual, I had very little luck and gave up on the gambling a few hours into the trip. I don't remember the last time I've won any money at Treasure Island. It has been YEARS. Oh well, such is life at a tribal casino. I don't think Treasure Island is breaking any laws...they are paying out what they are required to...even more than that However, like every casino in Wisconsin and Minnesota nowadays...mostly all penny slots...mostly all payback percentages somewhere in the mid to up per 80 percentage range. Tough to have big days as a slot player anymore. I just hope the heyday of the penny slot ends sometime SOON. People will learn...and already are. After losing money, I headed back to the hotel and on the way spotted Tado Steakhouse near the entrance to the event center. I thought, "Does Treasure Island actually have a decent place to eat now?" I couldn't resist but to give it a try. I am so glad I did. The food was FABULOUS. Yes, expensive, but think of what you spend at a casino gambling. I lost the dollar value of this meal in just a few minutes of gambling previous to this dining experience. I ordered the salmon and it was cooked to PERFECTION. I had the mushroom appetizer and it was FABULOUS. My only complaint is that they served bread that was not freshly baked, but rather appeared to be rolls that were heated up (the same type of bread/rolls you would find at a buffet). They paired the rolls with balls of butter and a cinnamon butter that was delicious. I just feel fresh baked bread along with some olive oil and balsamic vinegar as well would be a better fit for a restaurant of this caliber. Overall, you can't lose with Tado. It's about time, Treasure Island :-)Treasure Island comps well...free hotel stays...free drinks...free play, and now they offer good food, too. Their buffet is one of the best around, but like many, I just don't prefer buffets.Don't go to Treasure Island if you expect loose machines...they don't do that well (been a customer 23 years...so my opinion is an educated one). They do everything else well, though. THAT is the only reason I am still a customer. If loose penny slots are what you're looking for, northern Nevada and off the strip in Las Vegas is the only place you'll find them.

Recently received a coupon for a free buffet so we decided to stop there on our way back from a trip to Iowa. The buffet was great, especially the cheesecake, skin-on mashed potatoes and the fried chicken. Server was attentive, food was fresh and very good. Thanks.

Lets face it, the payouts suck. Very few winners.you would be better off walking in throwing your money on the floor and then walk out. I was an emerald card holder for several years, and yet no comps over a free drink. Treasure island will never get another penny from me!!!!!!!!

Good food and service. Smoke is an issue. Valet parking is a real plus. They bring in top entertainment.

sorry but the one review that said the casino was to die for should have said its to die in. it stinks like smoke and im a smoker, it needs to take some of the profits and put in some more vents, change the beddings do some painting and get the smell out steam clean the carpets and just do some up keep and as far as winning money good luck ive never heard such a quiet casino and outdated equiptment doesnt sound like anyone is winning in there you might as well burn your money.

First trip to Treasure Island in about 15 years and I was very impressed with the size, layout and serving of alcohol. We played bingo and had a great time. We will definately be going back.

Typical Casino and buffet. They are opening a new High End Steak House today. Hotels are nice and buffet is affordable with lots of choices.

We've not been to Treasure Island for many years. But we decided to travel several hours to go there this past weekend as our favorite band was playing there...The band was great...but the rest...not so much...We remembered the casino and hotel as much better...much nicer...now it just looks dated and kind of run down. ROOM: We stayed in the older wing - room was clean but also looked a little dated. Room was comfortable though and who is really in the room much anyway when in a casino?! It was quiet.CASINO: It's big and lots of slots...but it is not really very inviting or appealing... it's dark, dated, kind of dank. Slots are very tight - much tighter than our favorite casino in Wisconsin - but that is typical for most casinos. They become richer as we become poorer! Never did we see a drink server either...But the worst is all the SMOKE! I am surprised the fire department did not come with sirens on...with all the smoke billowing everywhere! What a crappy ventilation system and it seemed like my lungs were the ventilation system - taking in everyone's smoke - by the way they felt the next day. My sister has asthma and she had to take a break and get out of the smoke. Time to update the ventilation system so as not to asphyxiate the customers - that's bad for business! They do have a no smoking slots area for what it's worth...it was less smokey and smelly there. I've been to MANY casinos and this was one of the worst. But it is the risk you take when you go to a casino and are a nonsmoker. No drink servers to be had either...BAND AREA: This was nice. Large stage for the band...and lots of room with comfortable table and chairs to listen to the band. Drink servers were plentiful here. But again...way too much smoke. Tables were close together and many many smokers puffing and huffing their smoke everywhere...even smoking while on the busy dance floor...which I found a bit much.. I practically got a lit cigarette in my eyeball!RESTAURANTS: nice little coffee shop area, good cafe; did not try buffet. We wished the new steakhouse would have been open...menu looked great. There were also several bar areas. The bar by the bandstand was very nice.We will forgo this casino in the future and follow our band elsewhere.

I was able to kill well over an hour of time while looking at all the cool, fun, interesting things.

Our family (mom, dad and two teens) went to the Gary Allan show on Friday night. This was the second concert we have attended here, and really like the smaller venue. Even if you are almost to the back on the floor, there are pretty good sight lines. The restrooms are great, and bar service is right outside the ballroom as well. The only drawback (and it is a big one) is the awful smoky atmosphere you have to travel through to get out of the place. I know they want people to stop and play the machines, but I wish there was a separate exit.

Was very impressed with the layout of the gaming floor. We stopped for a burger at their grill and actually the food was free. We had just scanned our players cards and I got $15 in food and 3 free drinks of my choice. Thanks Treasure Island!

Visited this casino for the first time recently. Found it to be a very clean environment with a very wide selection of slot machines. Table games were there as well but we only did slots. Observed many slots that were not at other casinos and there was a large variety to play. There were several places to eat and the grill we ate at was very good and reasonably priced. Service was quick and friendly. There is lodging here as well but we were traveling that day. We were glad we stopped.
