great apples and apple products, only wish they weren't so expensive. Wish I could buy wind-falls for making sauce.

What is fall in MN without a trip to an Apple Orchard? And this is the best!!! Taste before you buy, check out the baked goods (donuts, pies, cookies, etc. - all apple-iscious - no calories I'm sure). We get the cookies - for sure, donuts - most of the time, a half peck of fresh picked apples (whatever's in season), a gallon of cider. At a minimum. It can't be beat. Fresh, local and organic. If you have time to spare (on week-end, mostly) take the sleigh ride or walk the orchard path through acres and acres of trees.Fall doesn't get any better than this.

The Applesauce donuts and the Apple Turnovers are definitely worth the trip. Just don't eat them all in one sitting.

Pine tree Apple Orchard is pretty good. It's not as good as I remember from my childhood. They used to have more apples to try. Now they hardly have any samples and they few samples to do have to give out have all been treated with some anti browning agent which makes them taste awful and they are wet. They should go back to the old way of them exactly cutting the apples up for you instead of the holding them in the solution and than dumping them out as they need. gross. As for the apples they are just your average everyday apples nothing to special. I have been to the U of m so I guess it's hard to impress me with their run of the mill selection. They have a bakery on site and the baked goods are yummy but pricey. So bring lots of cash if you visit. the bathrooms are not that great. basically this place is just a big barn with apples and baked good. nothing to impressive.

I grew up visitng this orchard many times with school or church groups, and recently revisited. Such a great visit! Best to go during the week to avoid weekend crowds (which can be massive!), and a must-try are the turnovers and apple doughnuts. Tons of pies, cookies, jams, syrups, etc available for purchase. Many, many picnic tables available for a picnic lunch, right next to the lake. A short walk is available to see the orchard, with tours and hayrides on the weekend.

This is my favorite apple orchard I have ever been to! During certain days/times they have hayrides that take you through the orchard and horseback rides for kids! These attractions are reasonable and fun. The goodies they have here are amazing! If you are heading this way...make sure you try the apple turnovers, apple donuts, and cinnamon ice cream.

What a great experience! I went with some friends on a Sunday morning to pick strawberries- they were beautiful and tasted delicious! There were a variety of people- families with kids, adults, families and couples. I would highly recommend!

In June I always get my wonderful strawberries at Pine Tree Orchard. Don't miss a chance to stop in at the bakery at the Main Orchard. In the fall I go often to select the different types of apples beginning in Late September and on into October. They also have a pumpkin patch, wagon rides, tours for school groups and many bakery items for sale. The pies are excellent. It is a great place for all ages.

Love this apple orchard - family-owned, fabulous baked goods (as well as frozen pies you can bake at home), and wonderful apples, of course. They do pick-your-own strawberries in the spring, and that's a great family activity. Pumpkin patch in the fall, and I believe there is a pick-your-own apple option, too.

Pine Tree Orchard is perched on a small lake on the outskirts of Dellwood, a lovely drive on an October day. They offer an impressive selection of apples and baked goods, and also grow strawberries and pumpkins. This truly is a family business and they have great customer service. I just found out you can buy apples by the pound, which is great when you don't need a peck for baking. The orchard is open into early February so you can appease that mid-winter pie craving...Pros: Wonderful pies, high-quality apples and cider, Pumpkin Patch, Strawberry Patch.Cons: Fall weekends can get incredibly busy and the traffic can be terrible. Go during the week for serious shopping.

Great place for fresh apples and every apple or strawberry treat you can imagine, plus lots of gift items and gift baskets! Pony rides for the kids in Sept and Oct.

There's a twisty road to get there, but keep going for great apples. And ask the folk at Trip Advisor to correct their listing of the place's name: It's "Pine Tree."
