We went on a Friday and had no problems getting a tube but on Saturday it was pretty hard to get one. The slides are a blast and we all loved it. My kids are 22, 10 and 8 and we had tons of fun. We brought our own towels because theirs are really small. You can buy beer in the snack bar as well as pizza, chicken fingers, ice cream, etc.

Felt like it was very chlorinated. After reading the poop reviews I now know why. The waterpark was an impromptu choice of what to do with the kids over spring break as we aren't actually travelling. It was better than our Edge in Duluth, MN, but everyone (husband, 10 year old, & 14 year old) was still done after only 2.5 hours of play. Don't stay at the adjacent hotel it's awful and don't waste your time or money in the arcade as it is run down.

I just went a mini vacation and have heard great things about the water park. However there was a poop problem and they did take care of it with extra cleaning. However I think they put in way to much chlorine. All 6 of us that we're there for rashes all over our entire body. We went to the dr because they were burning! The dr said it was due to too much chlorine. We go to water parks often and this has never happened. I don't know if we'll ever be going back. My kids were so red they looked sun burned!

I rarely write reviews on TripAdvisor but I thought this was a place which was definitely deserving of a review. I recently visited this place when planning a short trip to MN from Des Moines, IA, I had heard about it from an acquaintance. I decided to check out the website and pre-purchase our tickets to save time and hassle, which I did. That was the first issue. It was myself, my wife, our 2 year old and 6 month old. After speaking with someone on the phone (since this information wasn't available online), I was told that under 11 months was free (which seems awfully young) and that anyone else had to either purchase a full pass or a dry pass for $15.95. Yes, that means for my wife to sit on the deck with our baby it would cost an additional $16! Not to mention, my two year old had to pay full price at about $30 a person. So, we decided to just get three passes (since you can't buy the dry pass online) which came to about $90.We arrived at the park only to find out there was a giant line, I mean probably 50-100 people. We asked if advanced purchased tickets had a different line and were told no. So, we literally waited for almost an HOUR in line to get tickets which we had already paid for! Not an easy task in tight quarters with two young kids. Oh, also keep in mind that strollers are not allowed, so that makes things even more difficult.Once we finally got our tickets we found out that it was $7 for each tiny locker, also ridiculous. The changing room options were not adequate as there were three tiny benches for a facility which holds hundreds of people. We had to change standing in a corner or sitting on the sink. So, not a good start to the visit. Once we finally got in to the pool area, the kids area was temporarily closed and there were no tubes whatsoever available to use. So, basically there was nothing to do for the kids for the first twenty minutes or so until we found a tube. The actual waterpark elements were quite good (slides, lazy river, etc.), however the organization is terrible. It is nearly impossible to tell which slides small kids can go on as the signs are really confusing. We ended up just going to the kids area once it opened. The kids area was fine, nothing spectacular, but I would have to say that the staffing was terrible in that area. I really didn't care that much considering I was with my two year old the whole time, but it was kind of chaotic. Kids would just go one after another on the slides and pile up in a giant pile at the bottom. It definitely should have been better staffed, I saw one or possibly two lifeguards in the entire kids area. All together, it was better than not going to a waterpark, but I really don't believe I would return. It was very expensive and just poorly managed/organized. We have Adventureland in Des Moines which is cheaper, larger, includes the theme park, is free for kids under three, and has an excellent water park...but of course it is outdoor.

I love water parks and so do my kids-ages 5 and 7. Bought a Groupon for my family to enjoy this waterpark at a slight discount since we've never been there. We arrived at 2:15pm and got right in. Thank goodness because we saw the 50+ person line at the front desk at 4 and were grateful about our timing. Upon entering the locker rooms-I was disappointed to see that there was no room to change. We had to change by the sinks-amongst everyone else's stuff piled along the wall. Lockers are $7 each and they're tiny-people stack shoes on top and carry loads of stuff to the surrounding tables and chairs. Despite this first impression, kids were thrilled to try everything. We moved from the zero depth activity pool to the hot tubs, wave pool, and tried the lazy river. At about 4:30 -the kids played at the zero depth Fort Snellng play area when we noticed 2 pieces of poop on the walking path a half foot from the water's edge. Someone alerted the cleaning staff and they walked away to grab cleaning supplies-which led to 6+ people, unbeknownst to them, stepping in it and carrying it on the soles of their feet. We were yelling at them, but it's so noisy and hard to hear in there. Finally-a guest placed a towel over the poop remnant so nobody else could walk on it. A lifeguard came along-saw the towel was in the walking path, picked it up and tossed it under a chair. When he circled back around-I informed him he just tossed a poopy towel and he exclaimed, "Why didn't anyone tell me?!?" He blew a long whistle, emergency staff appeared, and looked like they were deciding what to do. The cleaning staff finally came back and wiped it with one of the free towels and sprayed the area with bleach. I told the cleaning staff that it probably trailed 40 feet in each direction since so many people stepped in it. Every pool has a poop mishap, but this one was particularly disgusting. We left that area and ate at the food court. I couldn't believe we actually HAD an appetite after all that-but you can bet we sanitized our hands. In fact, my daughter stepped in ketchup smeared on the floor and I didn't feel that was so bad compared to all the people who stepped in poop. Snacks were also overpriced-as expected. I spent $22 on popcorn, nachos/cheese, pretzel/cheese, 2 single scoop waffle cones, and 1 slushie. After, as we stood in line for the family raft, we noticed at that point-they had Caution tape around the zero depth poop-I mean pool area. Truly-it's the floor that probably needed a full bleaching. And who knows how many people brought poop remnants into the other pool areas? While we loved the family raft-we got in line at 5:15pm and didn't go down the 20 second ride until 6pm. The kids wanted to try the slides and enclosed pool until it was time to go. All of us who saw the poop mishap wanted a hot shower. If you want to shower - the shower head runs for about 4 seconds and the handicap toilet stall is the most spacious area to change since only 2 closet-like changing rooms with plastic shower curtain doors exist. Will I go back? Probably never unless someone forces me to. My kids drank a lot of pool water - hoping they didn't ingest any poop remnants the chlorine didn't kill off. Crossing my fingers.

Overall it's a nice waterpark, was clean and staff was friendly. I have a problem with paying full price for my three year old when other than the kiddie slides, and family tube slide, he isn't tall enough to go down any other slide. There needs to be child rates! The food was good, but with only one person working, it took forever for get our food. The staff at the arcade were GREAT!

Don't get me wrong, the staff was great and it's not their fault, but the place is a joke. You have to have a tube to do many of the attractions. How do you get a tube? You wonder around looking and hoping someone gives one up or drops one. You pay 30$ to go tube hunting like a lion. After a long day we just wanted to relax in the lazy river. But you need a tube. But good luck finding a tube. I just advise not going when it is in any way busy.

The Waterpark of America is loads of fun for the entire family, there are thrills a plenty and places for chilling! The Kids will love it and parents can relax in the lazy river. If you can use a Groupon for admissions, it can be spendy with a large family.

This is the third year we have taken the grandkids over President's Day. They love the water & the activities. The big slides are best with an adult (our grandkids are under age 7) and I don't feel comfortable with them going down the Lazy River by themselves but the other areas are good to let them do on their own although we standby & watch. The "wave" area is still too advanced for them. We didn't buy food this year as it can be expensive but we had a hotel room to go to to eat. Next year we will bring our own beach towels as they seem to run out...Lifeguards were visible & walking around plus they enforced the "adult" hot tub this year.

This is our second visit to this water park. It is clean, well maintained, and best of all, the staff is very kid friendly. They helped my son master the flow rider with good tips and helped my young daughter into her inner tube even though i was right there. Kudos to the water park for hiring great lifeguards that protect us AND help us.This water park is a great deal when combined with a stay at the attached Radisson. Thanks for another great visit!

This waterpark was poorly designed with the changing rooms being way too small. There were not enough tubes to go around plus people were hogging them, even though they were eating lunch. Employee at the family raft ride seemed bored and wasn't even paying attention to when people were going down the slide. That same ride had rafts with handles ripped completely off. Not sure how safe that is. However, the employees at the waterpark cafe were very helpful, as were the employees at the towel counter. The ONLY thing that made coming here worth it was our Groupon deal.

The staff made our night. The park was a lot of fun, rides were great, but the staff, Jesse and Lauren (I wrote down their names they were so helpful), rest of staff was too (especially Antwan who opened an extra lane for me at the food court to check out extra fast and crack some jokes). But Jess and Lauren up front were all smiles very helpful when we arrived and then later when we couldn't find towels, lot of fun and happy experience. The management must really stress customer service, definitely coming back. Nick - Missoula mt

Love the "family tube slide" that starts 10 stories up!!! Lazy river and other slides are a blast. Hot tubs are usually too busy and it's hard to find chairs.

Mseh,I have taken your comments back to the team here to help us all improve. I apologize for the poor experience you had at our park. Could you please email me at bford@waterparkofamerica.com and give me more information on when you and your family visited us?Thank you
