A great museum for a small town. The architecture is great and they have both a nice permanent collection and rotating shows. We saw the Folk Art show from the museum in New York and it looked great in their space. The permanent collection space isn't huge but they have some really nice pieces. The gift shop is great and really well done. This museum is worth the trip.

The museum itself is well maintained, beautiful, and in a great location. However, the exhibits are small. Floor 4 had barely anything to it. A few wall pictures some of which were inappropriate for children. Floor 3 was the same with a few hanging pieces of friut art work. Floor 2 had a lot going on. Lots of beautiful paintings and a section for children. Floor 2 was by far our favorite floor beings we went with children agest 2, 8, and 16. But there still was not enough to kep them interested. Unfortunatly this museum has a lot of space that is not being properly utilized. I would like to see them get more exhibits and grow into its name.

Only paid $7 to enter the museum and found it to have a great array of art to enjoy. Actually didn't intend to visit but found myself walking by, liked the architecture of the exterior and continued to the interior. Spent a few hours of the afternoon enjoying the museum. Perfect size and great price. Easy to see everything in 2-3 hours time.

We go periodically to see what is new. The last time we went we saw a special Folk Art display and a movie about the Orphan Trains. I am always astounded at the modern art piece entitled Black. $10 would be to much to pay for this piece. We always get a chuckle when we view this piece. They do have some great art worth seeing. We especially enjoy the Haitian exhibit.

Davenport has a gem. The building is impressive but inside the art collection is amazing! A large diverse American collection with works by Grant Wood, Andrew Wyeth, James McNeill Whistler, Ansel Adams and many others caught my attention but with over 4000 works of art there is something for everyone.

There are more than exhibits at the Figgi. There are programs and fun things, free things and great gift options in the gift shop - my only disappointment is that there isn't an operational cafe. Free Thursdays after 5pm...the café is open, full bar and always a (free) program in the lobby. We recently attended a PechaKucha. Prior to the Pecha Kucha we enjoyed a $5 burger basket while sitting by the gigantic windows in the uber urban café then toured the exhibits. A really good night for $5/person.

A wonderful addition to this city! Nice Grant Wood exhibit when we visited. Start at the top floors and work your way down. The second and first floors have quite a bit to see. The gift shop is really excellent!

Spacious and the gift shop interesting but was limited in displays. we personally didn't feel it was worth the time.

This was my second trip to Figge. I am really into architecture so I was excited about David Chippefield’s building. From the outside, the all glass building is stunning. It does not blend in with downtown Davenport, so it is kind of an oddity, but it gets your attention. The inside I still find disappointing. The layout is just not logical, and parts of the building were closed off when I visited in May. A large portion of the building seems to be set aside for support, administration and offices with only a small portion dedicated to art galleries. The art was mostly on the second floor with a good selection in the permanent collection including Thomas Hart Benton, Grant Wood and the Frank Lloyd Wright pieces. I found the lighting to be harsh, and the galleries amplify noise. There was a school group visiting when I went, and while the kids were actually very well behaved, the slightest noise echoed through the galleries. Chipperfield used an acoustical drywall when he added on to the St. Louis Art Museum which calms noise, it would have been nice if it had been used at Figge.Photography is limited to just a few galleries of the permanent collection. There are a few parking spots out front by US bank; otherwise there is street parking or a parking ramp close by. There is also parking along the river. For the area, the art museum is outstanding.

FIGGE was everything i had hoped it would be and more. Each gallery has its own unique ambience and the collections and exhibits, both permanent and temporary are richly rewarding to see. There is work by local/regional artists as well as diverse national and international individuals and groups. The hands-on areas for children and families are rife with engaging projects and activities. The gift shop carries a wonderful selection of items and every staff member i encountered was friendly and helpful. I wish i lived closer to this museum so i could go there often.

It is a very new, large building with many great exhibits. There was even a Chagall! A lot by Grant Wood, of American Gothic fame. I thought this industrial city on the Mississippi would be void of art but was very pleasantly surprised.

I've been 6th 5th is museum several times and it is breathtaking from the outside and open and beautiful on the inside. Their permanent collection holds art from Haiti, John Deere's collection and more. The rotating exhibits are interesting and change regularly. In addition, the museum holds many special events and if you reserve a spot you can enjoy the culinary skills of their chef. He's fantastic. My fiance and I have taken many trips to the museum and always enjoy it. So much so that we will be having our wedding reception there.

The building is beautiful and spacious. It has interesting displays. If you are looking for a different gift, the gift shop has some very excellent items for all ages.

This is such a nice museum. They have great exhibits. I'm really into textiles and they've had great exhibits. The architecture is beautiful, I've also been here for a wedding and it's great.
