This is a GREAT place to enjoy a walk or bike ride on trails, plus a building with bathrooms and a small nature habitat animal museum. It's a fantastic place to take the kids for an afternoon or day trip. DairyQueen is closeby too.

A little fishing pond and nature trails make for a great family outing with the kids! Pack a picnic to take with you! Head inside to check out the exhibits of local Iowa wildlife.

Awesome view and well kept park. Great history on site. Small gift shop with a great aquarium of local fish.

Park offers a small fish stocked pond, paved walking trail, an off the beaten path natural trail with wooden steep stairs to the nature trail. Park also offers an arboretum (various species of trees). Also has an indoor visitor center with examples of Iowa wildlife, fish, fauna. Caution! I used to walk my dog several times on the paved trail and every time my dog became infested with ticks just wandering into the grass a bit.

This small environmental museum has some great animal exhibits - mostly stuffed but still fascinating for the size and variety of animals native to the plains and river bottoms of Iowa. One of the most fun things to do is to pick up one of the book marks made from heavy stock paper and emboss it with the tracks of different animals. There were about a dozen embossers, each one featuring a different track - but only 4 or 5 fit on one bookmark so make your choice wisely, or better yet, go back for another bookmark and press in some more.

This is a county managed park and is home to the Environmental Learning Center, the Muscatine Arboretum & a historic cemetery. The park is very well maintained and offers small stocked fishing ponds, hiking trails & a paved bike path that connects to the main Muscatine bike path system. This is a great place to walk our dog, picnic under a tree or go fishing with your kids. I came to tour the arboretum, which is small but nice.
