wines of iowa

This is a wonderful store where one can find Iowa wines all in one place. The sisters that run this place are outstanding business women with big hearts. This is what customer service is all about. You can find unique wine gifts for your family and friends. They are located in a great spot where there are several other stores in their neighborhood,Valley Junction in West Des Moines. Great place!

I was with a group of 7 gals @ a bachlorette party. We had a super fun time! The bus was full. 1st we went to the winery @ Sully. The tasting & lunch were held in an old church. Perfect building to hold the 50 people on the bus. 2 seperate tasting stations. Both servers were good to explain the wines we were tasting. We had reserved in advance our lunch choices. The sandwiches, soups & salads were very good. Next we traveled to Tama. The tasting area was fairly small for our group. Many wine choices. Nice to be able to go outside to see the vines & relax @ tables in the sun. Our 3rd stop near Iowa Falls had almost too small of tasting area. Only 1 small bathroom for both men & women to use. I was excited to see 1 of my hometown businesses "Beer Bread" products being sold in the store. They had snacks & served 1 of the Beer Bread dips. On the long bus ride back to West Des Moines the Wines of Iowa served samples from another winery we did not attend. We enjoyed excellent wines @ all 3 stops.
