We are very much enjoying the Snake River Wine region. Hell's Canyon/Zhoo Zhoo is now on our "must visit" list.As others have stated, this is not your typical wine sampling place. I did not expect a 2006 Claret, for example. While other wineries in the region are developing excellent blends of Cab Sauvignon/Syrah, the Zhoo Zhoo Claret was a great, classic, Cab Franc/Cab Sauvignon/Merlot find. Incredibly reasonably priced too. We bought two cases. The facilities are very attractive, and divided into themes. I'm looking forward to enjoying their patio this next spring, summer and fall. Very much recommended.

Not your regular wine sampling kind of place... the two labels Hells Canyon (parents) and Zhoo Zhoo (daughters) are both represented. You can sit inside in the comfort of the living room or outside on the patio with your own food. Great place for gathering and conversation!!! Cheers

This was a darling little winery. It had magnificent views and a neat little patio area. I didn't love their wines but I like sweet wines. It was a nice place to relax and I enjoyed hearing the family history.

This family owned winery is truly an Idaho gem. The Robertson family makes 2 brands of wine here on the premises, Hells Canyon and Zhoo Zhoo. Sipping on a glass of wine in their tasting room is like enjoying a fine wine in a comfortable living room. After the first taste of their wine, your taste buds will tell you that the wine is special. The family members are very hospitable in making you feel welcome. The view from the winery shows vineyards in the Snake River plain and the Owyhee mountains, and it is worth a picture or two. Truly, this is a place to enjoy the finer things in life.

I was having a girls weekend with some of my best friends and we decided to do the vineyards tour.We stop at a few others (check my other reviews) and then decided on Hell’s Canyon because it was close to the winery we had just visited. Now first off the place if adorable. I will say cuter then the other tours we had done (and did do afterwards). They have “Swallow’s Wine Bar” and a cute little patio outside, with its adorable decorations. They serve light hors d'oeuvres for a minimal price and have wonderful views of the Owyhee Mountains. The main wine is Hell’s Canyon brand, but apparently they have a another line called Zhoo Zhoo . We were told the Redhead was the most popular wine, but since they were short on cases because it was so popular, they weren’t sampling it anymore. The wine was only $10, so I decided to buy a bottle of it. We sat outside enjoying the lovely fall weather and waited for our wine. We were served fresh lemon water in these AMAZING recycled wine bottle glasses. We also met up with another couple, who were telling us of their winery visits. When we finally got served the Redhead and I took my first sip, I was shocked to find that it was the nastiest wine I’ve ever had. I took a look at my friends and their faces said it all. They also thought it was gross. We all took a few more sips, but eventually just left the rest in the cups. When reading the notes of what’s in the wine, I couldn’t taste a single one. We offered the couple next to us some, and the husband spit it into his empty cup. They wife did have a sip but was unimpressed.I went in to pay for my bottle and the lovely lady who worked there, offered us a sip of the Brunette wine. I tried it and again was unimpressed. Everyone has different palettes, so I’m not saying don’t go there…just don’t get your hopes up. Although, the one good thing was I started me on a quest to find those wine bottle glasses.Again cute patio and a great spot to take pictures.
