we went for a birthday party, the food wasn't bad but it was really over priced. I got the Hawaiian burger and was charged an extra $3 for criss cut fries and my husband got the fish and chips. The fish was one big piece- not bad but the cole slaw was just cabbage and no slaw. It was very over priced for bar food and I had to wait almost an hour for another water. It was pretty sad. The worst was that I sent them an email and never got a response. Pretty sad.

There are a lot of options here. Whether you want to be in the bar area watching the current game, Bowling in either alleys, playing games upstairs or just walking around it's a fun place to stop if you are visiting the village!

We stopped mainly to just look inside and see what it was like. The kid at the counter told us that they charged $10 per person for a hour of bowling in the back bowling area so we decided to play. They had black lights and large TV's playing music videos and laser lights. Was loud but we had a lot of fun and constantly had people checking on us to see if we needed anything. If you want to order something you can order right from your bowling screen. We didn't order food but several people did and it looked and smelled really good. After bowling we went to the arcade upstairs and played for a few hours. It had a large selection of games. They were priced a little higher than other arcades we have been too but everything was working and clean and we still had fun.

Big Al's is a joke of an establishment. I called in at 1pm to ask if they would be playing both the Boise State football and basketball game simaltaneously, both started at 8pm. They will not take reservations, even for large parties, as well as forgot to mention that half of your party must be present to be seated. When we attempted to be seaTed we were told that 5 is not half of an 11 person group and we're refused until more showed up. After enough showed up there was no more seating availible. So we took our business down the road to a better establishment, The Ram.

Limited menu, over priced food and beverage and poor food quality make this a poor choice. Bowling and gaming are over priced as well. Service is good.

With a clean, family-friendly environment, this is a fun place for bowling. The snacks are remarkably good for a bowling alley. We enjoy the nachos, since one of our family eats gluten-free. They're not cheap, but they're not ridiculously expensive either. The video arcade on the second floor, however, is extremely expensive.

There are lots of tv screens and seating, but the food is not so good. The beers were served in nice frosted mugs and the service was good.

Lots of noise, especially when the disco lights & rap music starts. We were bowling but there were little kids with food & sticky fingers in our area. Made us stick at the foul line because of the nachos they were dropping.

We decided to get pizza and play some games. So off to Big Al's we went. I have to say the pizza was just ok at best, for me...hubby and son said it was good. The server we had was great. He gave us a small gift card for games for my grandson's bday and we also got their bday sunday free. It was big enough for all of us to share, and the kiddo loved it. I really really like the fact that they have an arcade area just for the little guys. Small in size games and easy for them so they feel like they are a big kid :). Next time we are going just the adults and bowling!!

Great bowling alley! My husband went with the guys and said it was a great night and a good modern bowling alley.

Fun for sports. Big screen t.v's, great choice of beers with game day specials. Fun to watch The World Cup. Friendly staff.

First let me start with the fact I'm the owner of The Capri restaurant and Delsas ice cream both in Boise. Tonight i write my first review ever ! Took the family to have a fun night bowling wanted a beer had to go to the bar to finally get one. No one would take a food order so i went to the counter to get the food ordered. Hes the best part food never came when i asked agirl about our food she went to her manager and told him i grabbed her on the arm and threatened her. He would believe me when i said no this isnt true. He told me three times.he had video of it, when ask if i could see this he said he be back. Security stood near and stared at my family the rest of our 70.00 games and this wasnt much fun. As i was leaving i gave the security tough Guy my bussiness cards and told them id take a apology over the phone. Very poorly ran bussiness everyone needs to stay with the local alleys like westys . I jope this review is passed on

Everything is over priced and lousy - what can I say - I will try to find a redeeming good point, nope there isn't one. warm beer, bad food and crappy service. Try at your own risk.

The kids had lots of games to play but it is super load, super expensive and I don't like how separated everything was. Not an enjoyable time at all :(

We had no idea what we were coming to, and would have wondered what our nephew was thinking if he had warned us that we were going to a huge bowling alley with an ice cream parlor and a big old sports bar and restaurant mixed in there somewhere. See, it doesn't sound appealing, but it was great! The first wonderful surprise was that they serve Pepsi products. The next surprise was that our nephew was going to order a cheeseburger with peanut butter on it! I have to find gluten free foods and my husband has to avoid all nuts and MSG so finding a restaurant that makes eating out easy for us is nearly miraculous. We were very pleased with the choice of food at Big Al's and had a great time celebrating our nephew's birthday and visiting with family even with all those big screens showing sports - and we aren't into sports! We were there mid-afternoon on a snowy Friday but the service was great and the food was excellent.
