Everyone must visit the Appaloosa Museum and Heritage Center. The Appaloosa horse is so incredible, and it is so fantastic that the headquarters is still in Moscow, ID.

A small museum dedicated to the Appaloosa (warrior) horse, breed and perfected by the Nez Perce native Americans. Good history telling and also local history of the club members.

This place was very neat, we stopped in here while we waiting to get keys to our daughters apartment. The history of this region is so rich and beautiful. The staff here was great and very informative about the region. Loved every minute of it

Top spot for information on the Appaloosa breed and it's history. Good information on the Nez Perce tribe, as well.

This is a very interesting museum with a lot of information on the New Perce tribe and the Appaloosa equine breed. Nice interactive area for children and a nice picnic area.

This museum offers quite a bit of information on the history of the Appaloosa horse. Sometimes they will even have a real one out in their pasture that you can see. There is also an area where children can have fun sitting on saddles while drawing pictures. It has nice atmostphere and is very interesting .

I enjoyed visiting the Appaloosa Horse Museum very much. I am not an avid horse person, but I still enjoyed learning about the breed and the history presented at the museum.

My grandchildren were with me and we were looking for a museum to visit. I have lived in Moscow most of my life and have never been to this museum. It is very interesting and they have a hands on room that the kids really enjoyed. There were also two live horses in the field that they could visit.

The Appaloosa horse museum is a great place to go to learn the history of the appaloosa horse. The people are very friendly and for the people who have children it would be a great experience for the little ones.

This is a small museum, but a wonderful place to get souvenirs of the area. The history of the Appaloosa is fascinating, and the museum also features artifacts of the Nez Perce who bred them. Since it is small, it is not extensive. I like it for horse lovers and those interested in Native American history. It is also a good visit between other attractions or on a rainy day. The admission fee is a donation, so give what you feel it was worth.

Great displays of local history and fun interactive horse exhibits make this museum a "must see" if you pass through Moscow.

This museum offers a great deal of knowledge and lost arts depicting Native American tribes and the beauty of wild horses.

I am a horse lover who was excited to see that Moscow, Idaho, had a museum dedicated to the Appaloosa horse breed. That includes a lot of history of the Nez Perce Indian people as well, which is a rich and historically significant story. If you are in Moscow and have a couple of hours or even one hour, stop in and see this wonderful little museum. During the warmer summer months, there will be one or two beautiful Appaloosa horses paddocked behind the museum. You can bring your lunch and enjoy it in the presence of these lovely animals (there are picnic tables). It's definitely worth the time. Please leave a donation to help support the museum and its displays.

If you are into horses this museum is worth an hour, but most of it is general material about the Nez Perce, Lewis and Clark and other regional things. We went because there were supposed to be some Appaloosa horses around, but, once again, their arrival had been delayed. Had we known we wouldn't have bothered to go.
