meriwether lewis' august 12, 1805 campsite

If you are a history buff and like exploring the Lewis and Clark trail, this is worth a visit. If you have the ability to get there and then to the top of Lemhi Pass the scenery is amazing!!!!! Dirt roads, some quite thrilling, so do your homework.....very weather dependent as to whether Lemhi Pass is open. You have good access to the area, and really not much has changed thankfully in the area. I have been obsessed since childhood with treking the Lewis and Clark trail and have been fortunate enough to be able to see much of it. Did I mention that the scenery from Lemhi pass is amazing!!!!
