Wonderful shows to watch at a reasonable price. A good museum that kids of all ages enjoy. Come see the tropical frogs, art display, and artifacts from the local area.

The center is closed on Mondays and has restricted hours on Saturday. We first tried going on Monday, but it was closed so we went the next day, there are a lot of neat artifacts but when we got to the fossil section we were swamped by a school fieldtrip with kids and phones all over the place that made it hard to enjoy the exhibits. Note that while the exhibits are free the planetarium does have a fee.

I visited this for the first time on our last visit. It is a small museum that with lots of local artifacts and it gives the history of the area. There are bones and stuffed animals as well. Very nice gift store with some locally made merchandise. There is a planetarium there as well but we did not get to see that.

I would have thought that the art show would have displayed more art in categories instead of in a mass show. Displays were educational. Staff is friendly and helpful.

Sent out of town guests information on the Herrett center so they scheduled to see it while in the twin falls area. They saw the Pink Floyd show and loved it.

Recently, the Herrett Center upgraded their planetarium from old style slide projectors and a Digistar II Projector to a new Digistar 5, the results are amazing 3-D imagery on the circular dome without the annoying glasses. A 10,200-watt Dolby 5.1 Surround Sound system and LED lights complete the experience. See the website (below) and click planetarium for current shows and trailers for the shows. Yes, I said that right...Trailers like at the movie theater.Prices are still better than any movie in town, but only in the Planetarium. Museum admission is always free. The Centennial Observatory has the largest research grade telescope in Idaho that is actually open to the public. The coolest thing is the telescope eyepiece is handicap accessible. Like the planetarium always check the website before going to find out when the observatory is open and if there is a charge. The telescope is always open for a monthly free star party on the second Saturday of the month (weather permitting of course) with additional telescopes on the stargazers deck. You should go and check this place out. Also, the museum has a Idaho pre-history section and art gallery's. Look for the Huntington Canyon Mammoth. Website: http://herrett.csi.edu/

Its cool, dark and dreamy in the planetarium and they take you on a musical journey and light show! Lots of planetary shows that remind me what a little 'spark' I am in the big cosmos. I like the art shows displayed at the center and the fact that they are open on a generous schedule. The star gazing telescope and the astronomy discussion group once a month make the Herrett Center a place I visit every time I come to Twin Falls Idaho

We visited the museum for their "Mingle in the Jungle". We had a great time learning about the snakes and lizards and even getting to hold them. While we were there we checked out the other exhibits. Their hands on learning was great fun for us and the kids. Best of all, all of the exhibits were free.
