We loved the ranch! It’s lovely and away from all of the Yellowstone/Jackson tourism. Our half day horseback ride was one of the main highlights of our trip. The staff is so sweet. The negatives: The website says it’s “one short hour” away from Yellowstone. It’s a solid 2 hours. Be sure to plan for this. Also the cabin, while nice and cozy, is really made for only 2 people, not 4. The cot was extremely uncomfortable and the water pressure left something to be desired but all in all a great stay.

If you're looking for a good trail ride this was just average. You don't see much other than trees with a few views of the valley. The horses were okay but I noticed some scratches and sores. I would not put this on a list of "must do" / There are far better ways to spend your time and money in this region.

Our daughters, son in law, & 4 grandkids had a wonderful ride through the forest on back side of Grand Tetons national park. Ages of kids were 8-13 . Staff was excellent, especially Melissa & Debbie. Very safety conscious, informative of area, flora & fauna. Our 6 yr old grandson wasn't old enough to go, but they arranged a large saddled horse for him to be lead all over the property for 30-40 min. Hannah was the best with him. She kept up a running conversation with him as she walked all over pastures, trails, & fields. We were able to take photos of him while the others were gone. I highly recommend this for a fun time for all.

We took the 3 hour lunch tour with Laney. Our kids (11 and 15) felt very comfortable on the trail and the horses were well behaved. I will say that this is not one of the typical trail rides. We climbed up single track trails, through thick forest and along the canyon ridge, with cows and other critters along the route. The views are spectacular and worth the 45 minute drive from Jackson. Make sure to stop in Victor for a huckleberry milkshake!

I took my husband here for his 51st birthday. We are locals, but I have not had the pleasure of getting in w/LCR. It took some work to get a reservation, but when we finally got one, we were more than pleasantly surprised. We didn't do the sleigh ride that night, because it was broken and to be fixed, but we were more than happy they could fit us in. We bought/won this certificate at our son's school's fundraiser. First of all, remember it is BYOB. We brought a nice bottle of wine and some other implements for cocktails beforehand. The bartender immediately takes them off your hands, and makes sure she knows who owns what. When we were ready for dinner, our bottle was uncorked waiting for us at the table. Prior to that, she was more than professional in her mixing and/or pouring expertise. She also had a bartender's mentality - she loved talking to people, and engaging them in conversation. Many of them were from out of town or second home owners. However, if you want an intimate place to have dinner, this would not be your locale, as everyone is gathered together in the same room for lively conversation. That's what we love about the west right? I'm sure if you come here, there is probably a mix of half locals and half visitors. The mix works.I was so impressed with the spread of appetizers... huge shrimp, brie, bruschetta etc. The fixing's were quality. I wish I could have gone back for more, but I wanted to be respectful of the other guests. I figure that night they got more than 20 people - ironically 2 others were celebrating their birthday as well. When we moved downstairs to have dinner, the server asked us about our orders. Although my husband ordered salmon via email a few days before, he wanted to change to steak. He didn't expect to be rewarded, but simply asked. They accommodated him graciously. I wouldn't expect this every time, but it doesn't hurt to inquire. From my standpoint (who made the reservations - I'm thinking really?), but the request was honored and no one made us feel uncomfortable with the additional accommodation. Dinner was amazing. The salad (which I love greens), had homemade sugared pecans on top. Trudy makes them herself. The lamb was to die for - husband's steak was very good, but again, I didn't want to give up anymore of my lamb to trade. It seems like dinner comes a good bit after apps, so probably not the place to bring kids unless they can entertain themselves and not ruin it for others. With that said, we left our 5 year old at home, but local friends did bring their kids and they were awesome and so well behaved, and having fun with each other. I'm not discouraging bringing your kids, but I do feel that it is such a nice experience, so if you can find a sitter, and enjoy it as a couple, you will love it even more. Trudy will gladly tell you if there are other kids coming with you book your visit. Remember they do not babysit, so factor that into the equation. The most memorable part of the visit was probably when they heard that my husband was celebrating his birthday. I didn't go out of the way to point this out (I'm sure I mentioned it at some point), but they made him feel very special. He loved it. I'm not a dessert eater, but it was luxurious. He equated it to Chico Hot Springs in MT. If you have gone to Chico Hot Springs, you'll know they have a reputation to uphold in regards to service and food quality. LCR meets these expectations, but with a more intimate atmosphere and an exclusive opportunity, if you can get in.

We had the pleasure of experiencing the Linn Canyon Ranch on our recent trip to the Grand Tetons. We stayed at a VRBO home in Driggs and were looking for a dinner recommendation. We discovered some literature at the house on Linn Ranch. We all four went horse back riding and then stayed for dinner. The staff were all very friendly and service was excellent. The food at dinner was outstanding!!! The appetizers during happy hour were also outstanding. The bonfire after dinner topped the evening off. This experience is a " Must Do" if you are in the Victor/Driggs Idaho area. What an experience!

We were fortunate to visit the Linn Canyon Ranch twice on my recent holiday gathering with family in Victor, ID. Christmas dinner with the Linns, their friends and family was as good as it gets. The setting was absolutely beautiful, inside and out, and the food was out of this world. The same is true for the dinner sleigh ride. Gourmet cook doesn't even begin to describe Trudy Linn. The food is absolutely fabulous. The lodge is a work of art my the masterful Linns, who all participate in making the experience first class. The employees from Tyson, Faith, Ramsey and all the rest are sweethearts. Anyone who is in the area of Driggs, Victor, Jackson Hole or environs and does not partake of this experience will have missed out on the highlight of your trip.

OMG Trudy's food is divine. The lamb is succulent and so is the filet. We've gone a couple times and its always perfect. The appetizer buffet is just amazing including large shrimp, brie and more. One of the times we went on the sleigh ride --not long but very impressive when they let the horses out to run. You certainly can't go wrong with this whole experience.

My husband and I were just here for a wedding on September 1, 2012. The setting was beautiful. The food was deliciously prepared by Trudy. The employees were more than gracious. The little details, such as a hand-painted milage sign that told the distances we all traveled to share in the festivities made us feel welcome. The twinkle lights in the trees were romantic. The horses grazing nearby were endearing. If you're looking for a wedding venue, I would highly recommend Linn Canyon. If you're already married and want to renew your vows, do it here. If you want to celebrate your divorce, I'll bet you'll feel better about it if you throw a party here. It's impossible to feel badly in a heavenly setting like Linn Canyon Ranch.

Our daughter was married here in mid-August 2012 followed by a wedding reception with over 200 people, including 20 children, was excellent. Trudy, and the rest of the Linn Canyon Ranch staff, were simply outstanding. The reception was outside, with the dancing under a large tent, and we even had a kids game tent, as many of the guests were local to Jackson, WY, pony rides for the kids and a bonfire to toast marsh mallows as darkness fell. We had 14 local (Jackson) vendors supply everything from the flowers to the tents and everything went extremely well, without one hitch. Our daughter and her now husband, after tasting a range of samples before the event, just told Trudy, who is a trained chef, just to have a range of light and heavy hors d'oeuvres available and past around by the staff from 5:30pm-11pm, during which period two bands played. The Linn Canyon Ranch is an outstanding venue for a small or large wedding reception, but reserve a year in advance. If you wish to know which vendors we used, just email us separately.

Twenty-five close friends and family, aged 75-2, met to celebrate a birthday at Linn Ranch during Huntsman Days in 2012. We all enjoyed the unique setting and Ritz-like service. Day activities included a trail ride for the adults and a horse camp for the kids. Evenings included live music, BBQ's, camp fires and an elegant sit-down meal in the main lodge. The food was excellent, and you'll not find better pastries anywhere. Our tent had a comfortable bed, nice linens and bedside lamps. The walk to the beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean shared bathrooms was across a grassy lawn. The staff went out of its way to ensure that our three-day party was exactly what we wanted it to be. Ann

We went here with friends who live in Victor and have had dinner here several times. It was a great experience. The food was excellent and the setting was perfect. Reservations are a must. The dinning room was fully booked the night we went. You give your dinner order when you call for reservations. Our choices were Salmon, Filet, Lamb Chops or a Vegetarian dish. A large selection of wonderful appetizers were served before dinner, including Huge Shrimp. Salad and dessert are included (Creme Brulee or Apple Pie) My filet was wonderful, but my husbands Lamb Chops were Excellent! The Apple Pie was served A la Mode, and was the best I have ever had. (You can set up a Horse Back Ride before dinner, if you want.) We look forward to returning here on our next visit to Victor!

Great scenery, lots of local history and very personable guides. Family owned and operated.

The first time in the west and we wanted to have the cowboy experience on a horse so we ( six children under twelve, parents, and a grandmother) headed to Linn Canyon Ranch in Victor,Idaho (a small village just over the mountain from crowded Jackson). Most of us had never ridden except being lead around in a ring and by the end of the morning we were on a trail ride in the Tetons. The ranch is located at the base of the mountain so you are on the trail as soon as you leave the ranch. The instructors, Ramsey and Siera were wonderful. They taught us how to be safe around horses, how to brush, saddle and this was a hands on experience. And to top it off we had a homemade lunch in the ranch house. This is a day our family will remember forever. Don't miss Victor if you go to Jackson-a small town with no pretensions. And stop in the Victor Emporium - a throwback to an old fashion ice cream parlor.
