dover mall

This mall was a lot smaller than other malls I have been to. They do not have a lot of choices when it comes to dining. Was not pleased after purchasing the pork sliders from a restaurant inside the mall. The food was not good at all.

It's not so big that you could get lost, and the no tax in Delaware always makes for a great shopping trip, you can find just about every thing you need in one place

I go about once a month to look at stores. It is what you would expect nothing flashy just a smallish mall in a smallish town in a small state.

The only thing that keeps me coming is the movie theater. Theres not much selection as far as shoppingx all the stores have the same tyoes of style and offer no variety, and you are followed and pressured to buy items you dont want or need, and a select few stores has poor management as far as customer service interaction. I definitely would rather travel an hour distance for better options and service

We used to have the Blue Hen Mall, while nothing compared to the "big" malls, they were big for Dover back in the 80's as the only thing Kent & Sussex had at that point was strip malls or solo stores. The Dover Mall came in & pushed the BH outta business by stealing the bigbox stores, but now the Dover Mall is starting to show her age.She is small compared to todays MegaMalls like Christiana & even some strip malls are becoming bigger than Dover.Its still a good place to go, and with the overturn of stores then maybe something new will open by the time you get there. It was being floated around for many years (since early 2000s I think) that she was going to expand out behind the mall, off to the side of Dover Downs & new Rt 1, but since they just changed ownership hands again I doubt it will happen.I'll still go for my fix of Sarku teriyaki chicken with fried rice & double meat, yeah its chain food but its my occasional treat.

This is the only mall in Dover, De. The only one, and its the city of Delaware... This is pretty much the only thing to do on the weekends if you are a kid or teenager. Other than going to the mall, you can bowl, skate, go to a restaurant, or shop somewhere else. There is a small selection to do in Dover, DE otherall. This mall is really poor. Some big stores include Macys, Boscovs, Jcpennys, and Sears. Some other stores are VS, Rue21, Body Central, Aeropostale, and PacSun. The mall is now putting in a Dicks Sporting Goods, and we will be getting our FYE back soon. The movie theater is okay, probably more overpriced then most. On fridays and Saturdays theres a curfew for kids under 17 not allowing them to watch movies with someone 21 or over after 6pm?.. There is few selection of food here. They took at all the good food such as Boardwalk fries (which opened up their own store, which failed and their closing), also they took out McDonalds, and Chicfila. Some food that you can get is Subway, Pizza, Burgers, Chinese, Salad, BocBocChicken, and Japenese food. Otherall Its pretty average nothing special. If you are visting Delaware and want to take advantage of our no tax shopping, then make a trip to Christiana Mall (around 40 minutes from Dover, or more).

The only mall in Dover, DE. On Friday night all the kids were hanging out. Have been there to the movies. The area by the movies has minimal parking so you end up walking. Check on prices. I think it might be a dollar or two more than other movie theaters. The food court area has gotten a lot smaller. There is no longer a Mc Donald's but there is a chic fil a. Boscov's Penny's Sears and Macy's are the big stores.

I like the selections of clothes and all of the products you can get in one store. The customer service was fantastic.

Very nice mall. All kind of stores to visit and shop, nice food court. The air conditioning was SUPER, temps outside close to 100.

This is not the best place to shop. There is no where to grab a quick bite to eat. Chick-Fil-A closed down, the Subway is poorly run. There is only a Sbarros Pizza, two Chinese places to eat at.However if you want to purchase a phone there are 4 phone places to choose from. Groups of young kids roam the mall and security does not do anything about it. Unless you are 7 years old and lost then they chew out the poor child and try to have them taken away by the Dover PD. Best to go up north to Newark.

This is a typical mall with the same old stores. Although there is Macy's and Boscov's.

As the other reviewers have stated, this is not a glitzy, big time mall. In fact, it is one of the "old school" malls, one story only, small versions of the flagship stores in the larger malls, and lots of little shops that come and go. The Macy's Department Store here is not even close to any other I have been to. The choices are limited, if you want any kind of higher end product you have to go up "north" to get it (i.e. 1,000 thread count sheets, or a top brand food processor). Conversely, the Boscov's Department Store is actually better than the new one in Newark, with more choices for women's clothing. I actually discovered that this Boscov's had a restaurant for the first time, and we did have an inexpensive lunch there while doing some holiday shopping. The Sears has a decent selection of tools. It seemed that there were quite a few empty stores for a while, but it seems with the economy picking up that many of those empty storefronts are now being utilized. Again, as stated before, after 3:00 pm when the local high schools get out the mall is crowded with teens. There is also a large Old Navy (outlet) store, JC Penney, Victoria's Secret, the usual jewelry stores, food shops, but sadly, no more book stores. It's a local "go to" mall, but when we want to do some serious shopping, we head either to PA or up to Christiana.

I live in Wilmington. I've been to the Dover Mall a few times and thought it was pretty nice. Some of the stores are obviously off-brand independent sellers, some of the areas are dusty, and like any mall it has it's kiosks with annoying sellers working on commission. Compared to the Concord and Christiana Malls in New Castle County, the Dover Mall has a very Southern feel-- which I think is best characterized by the fact that the Boscov's Department store in this mall has a restaurant. The numerous off-brand stores (reminded me of the sham which is called the Tri-State Mall in Claymont, DE but is no where near as run down) and tired look at this mall can be off-putting. The stores in this mall seemed better stocked with a larger selection. The security guards at this mall ride around on Segways which seems ridiculous. The mall is not crowded but has many high school and DSU students roaming around. Overall, the Dover Mall is a good place to go shopping. However, if you like the glitz, glamour, and size of the Christiana Mall, this is probably not the place for you.

There are plenty of good shops and a comfortable cinema here, and plenty of parking.
