A lot of the time is spent on volunteer kids riding sheep, cows, and bulls. So if you have kids that would participate, it is fun. Otherwise the skills of those “professional” cowboys aren’t very good. Only 2 managed to stay on the bull until the time is up. Some of the barrel racing involved children sitting on the horse while the cowboy parent pulled the horse. It’s ok to watch if you have nothing better to do.

This was not a professional rodeo by any means. They had bull riders, barrel racing, and cattle roping. There were only 2-3 barrel racers and about 8 teams doing cattle roping and maybe 12 people riding bulls. The best part was when the kids from the audience got to try their hand at riding sheep (kids 8 yrs and under) and junior steers. My son (13) and daughter (9) rode junior steers. They were given helmets, got into the cage, sat on the steers and held on for dear life! The gate swung open and they managed to stay on the steer for about 3 seconds before being thrown off. They dusted themselves off quickly and ran back towards the gate while the crowd cheered. They were scared before the ride but afterwards they were all smiles. The rodeo was about one hour long which is as long as it needed to be. It was a pleasant way to spend the evening and my kids have something unusual and interesting to say when their teacher asks them what they did over summer vacation.

Nice to have seen this once. They do it every night. Especially for kids a lot of fun. And only $11,- Tickets can be bought in the mainhall of Ruby's Inn.

We took our family with boys ages 11 and 14. It was fun for them to see a rodeo for the first time and here there are real cowboys and their families hanging around. Good value for the money and great activity for the evening. The highlight was signing up our youngest son who rode one of the calves in the rodeo (our eldest passed). He stayed on 7 seconds ! All the kids got $3 if they got out of the gate. The whole "backstage" scene is a must to be experienced. Helmets and protective vests are provided for kids and parents sign a long liability waiver for obvious reasons.

We expected the rodeo to be quite touristy however were pleasantly surprised to find this was not the case. It was a great experience and highly recommended

Was excited as we'd never been to a rodeo before and as it was just 5 minutes walk from our hotel we decided to give it a try.We arrived 30 minute prior to the stated time to discover that the covered over seating had already gone and it was only us tourists left out in the evening sun.The rodeo started with some cute kids on sheep back which was quite fun and as the evening went on the young kids (5-6) we'd guess got older and as the animals got bigger until the adults turn and some of the horses looked positively hostile. Was amazed at how quick these cowboys and girls got thrown and there were whoops of delight when someone managed to stay the course. Started looking at my watch after 90 minutes as it was getting a bit repetitive. 30 minutes later it all came to an unceremonious stop and everyone went home.Glad we went to see it and enjoyed the atmosphere even though the announcements about who was who etc were very muffled and done in such an American 'yee ha' fashion that half the time it was incomprehensible

While the rodeo was small, it was big on entertainment. The cowboys provided thrills with the main events of bronc and bull riding, team roping, barrel racing. Our trail guide from earlier in the day was one of the cowboys. It was fun to see someone we knew in the rodeo. This was the first rodeo for just about everyone in the full stands( many European tourists) The outdoors setting was mesmerizing with the setting sun behind the distant mountains, the horses and steer corralled alongside the rodeo fence. I sat there after the rodeo taking in the western scene and charm. My 11 year old daughter was able to ride on one of the calves. She fell off but what a memory. I will forever remember her smile
