Powder Mountain is the best kept secret and I advise everyone to stay away so we don't have to fight crowds :-) The snow is perfect, the crowds are spread out and it's one of the greatest places to ski. The night skiing is fun too and not many people, which makes it a great time. It does allow snowboarders who are always sitting in front of the chair lift when you get off......making it tough to move around, especially with a full chair lift full of people. Facilities are very old and not suited for wheelchairs. Other than that, it's a terrific place.

Now this was my first time Snowboarding and let me tell you. I had an amazing time. The first thing I'll recommend is if it's your first time go to the Ski school ( Captain Dan is my guy) and with out the help I wouldn't have had a good time. And the people are so chill and as many times that I went down and as hard you just get help from all over. It was a big no judgment zone. The price was good the food was good the people and scenery topped off my visit there and the memory of it all will be with me until I return.

My son and were there January 5, 2015. They had not had any snow in a week but you could still find some cut powder over on the eastside. This is a great place to ski if you like to ski in the trees. The place is huge because you can ski anywhere. The lift layout is not the best and the paradise lift is slow but once you know your way around it isn't to bad. Take the surface lift over to some good tree skiing. We found some powder in "Powder Country" which was a blast. Remember to make your way down the road as you ski because that is where the bus will pick you up. We didn't know and waited by the side of the road for the bus. Luckily is wasn't crowded and the bus driver stopped for us. I would visit again.

We were at Powder Mountain for Christmas 2014 and had a great time. Powder Mountain boasts it has over 7000 acres of the epic terrain but when we arrived only one lift was open. As the snow fell more lifts opened which opened up more area than we could ski. There was a bit of a blizzard, not by local standards probably but for Southerns it was a blizzard, the day after we arrived so skiing was very good. We enjoyed having the pro shop at the mountain so we could try out different skis each day without the trip to town. The shuttle was very nice so once we were tired from skiing we did not have to hike back to the condo. Three of our crew were in snow boarding school and got the basics down pat but when we saw the instructor on his personal time he was still willing to give more help. Powder Mountain is great if you come to ski and enjoy staying on the mountain which worked really well for us. The ride up the mountain was not as bad as many reported but it does require 4-wheel drive or chains when the weather is bad. The last day there was lots of snow and ice on the road making it a challenge but it was not too bad. There is a small grocery about 20 minutes down the mountain and Eden is maybe another 15 minutes for anything you may need. When you plan your next ski trip, include Powder Mountain in your discussions.

An old school mountain with only one high speed lift, but some of the best tree glades I've skied. I love the local ambience and genuinely friendly staff.

Amazing views, long and scenic runs, lots of mountain to explore. One of our favorite ski destinations. Not too crowded, we were able to get right on the runs.

The good is the size of the mountain, the quality of the powder, the super nice people and staff. The bad is the access road. If it is snowing, be prepared for a white knuckle ride. Take the UTA bus, its slow but sure. We've kept this place secret for years but the word is out. Tons on terrain, we can ski and ride all day and only see a handful of people.

Powder mountain is a gem for our family. Our 4 year old was able to take ski lessons with a 2:1 instructor ratio. He had "Pistol" Pete who was amazing...he got him on the slopes day 2. I was able to get ski lessons with Randy who is great and very patient with first timers. (Have had a lesson before but Randy made all the difference this time!) The older teenagers were able to snow board with Dad at varying levels including a challenging back country route. The mountain in the morning was amazing not too busy! There is a small restaurant with a view of the slopes if kids out last adults, also has wifi. Beautiful snow. ..in the afternoon, slopes were a little busier.

My son went snowboarding and we brought other members of our party back to see the awesome view. What a great place.

Powder Mountain is one of our best kept secrets. Great snow (all natural), nothing fancy, but hey, we go to ski, right? I love Powder Mountain, no crowds, no lines, just great snow! Ask for a mountain host (free, but tipping is appreciated) to guide you around the mountain. Learn which lifts go where, etc. The mountain hosts are very knowledgeable and very friendly and it is a great way to see the mountain!

Powder Mountain offers the best powder of any resort in America today. Its legendary snow is known the world over. They offer helicopter drops, tractor pulls, snow mobiling, and cross country. Only 45 miles north west of Park City. There are virtually no lift lines here, and the lift tickets are less then elsewhere. This is where all the locals ski. Its the best kept secret in Utah. Once you go here, you won't go anywhere else. Great accommodations at www.vrbo.com/211329

If it's powder you are looking for, powder mountain in Eden, Utah is the place. How about a cheap lift ticket, no crowds and 7,000 acres of great skiing. It's the best kept secret in Utah.

I think there were 144+ runs here so it never felt crowded. Plenty of beginner runs and lots for experts. I loved the ski school area. Plenty of space and slopes to really get it down. They need more high speed lifts though but not too bad. Lots of cat walk trails which are just summer roads. Nice and laid back and more of a locals place. If you want fancy, head down to Snow Basin.

Powder Mountain is a hidden gem. Granted the competition for great skiing is fierce in this part of Utah, but Powder Mountain holds its own. One of the best places you'll ski in the category of "you're going where?". Its the antidote to the high end Snowbasin/Deer Valley vibe. Much more of a local skiers mountain. Not the same sheer vertical of some of its competitors, but makes up for that in huge acreage. Lots of great open intermediate level runs, but also plenty of great steeps in the trees for more advanced skiers. Powder Country off the back of the Hidden Lake Express is a blast, with deep snow days after snowfall, lots of runs through the trees that eventually run out to the access road where a shuttle comes by regularly to take you back to the lifts for more. Also check out the snow cat off the Sundown lift. Buy tickets for the cat at the ticket windows, and you'll get access to untracked skiing off Lightning Ridge. I love the feel of this place. Came here once several years ago, vowed to return and am very glad I did, for 3 days of great skiing in March of 2014.
