On the plus side: Our space was nice and pretty low in price. The bathroom was not the newest but clean. The owner was friendly.BUT.The horses. Oh the horses. The have to stand up to their knees in their own poop, are deeply bored and unhappy. Many of them also need to see a doctor/blacksmith. They don't have a shelter even if it rains a lot and gets pretty cold. Please don't keep these animals, if you are not interested in them. Please don't have a campground, if you are not interested in having one!

My initial conversation with this campground was one week prior to visiting the area. As always I inquired about the campground amenities; do you have cable TV- yes, do you have WiFi- yes, do you allow campfires- yes, etc...OK do you have space available for a travel trailer- well I don't know, I have a big caravan that came in yesterday and another big one on Wednesday. Well first off we got there on Tuesday and there might have been 10 campers in the whole place and never did a big "caravan" show up on Wednesday. Our assigned spot was very short and unlevel so I moved over one. Told them the next morning and it was no problem. The new spot was also unlevel but we made do...Almost all of the electrical boxes are leaning over, the water faucets are leaking, the sewer caps/covers are "rocks", most full-hookup pull-throughs are UNLEVEL. There is no cable TV and wireless is weak if at all. We stayed here for 3 nights and never once saw a presence of the KOA staff unless I went into the office. No one driving a golfcart, no one cleaning up, etc.It is advertised about fishing in the creek on property. All I saw were an overgrown area where you would NOT be able to fish and I did see the rusted out car previously mentioned in another review. This place definitely has the potential but it needs some repairs. I hate to say this but it definitely needs a mans touch... a little handy work here and there would do wonders for this park! Will NOT be back to this KOA. I did see the rusted out car in the creek

This is the worst kampground we have ever been to. First of all, there is a cow pasture on one side and a horse pasture on the other...only good if you like the smell of poo and the massive amounts of flies.Secondly, the staff, with the exception of one young man, is extremely rude. When my wife and I arrived after spending an entire day hiking in Zion, we asked if they had any kampsites available with some shade since we were originally assigned to a site that was in full sun. The lady very rudely told me to just "pick a spot" and let her know since I am "too particular." Keep in mind that there were only 4 other families at the kampgound...it's not like they were completely booked. And you can just forget about the WiFi. I don't even think they have it connected. This place is so terrible that we paid for two days and ended up staying at a bed and breakfast in Springdale on the second night. We just couldn't bring ourselves to go back.Currently, we are at the Cannonville KOA and it is so much nicer. The staff is awesome, helpful, polite, and all around just good people! This is a great KOA kampground that is conveniently located to Bryce Canyon National Park. Oh yah...and their WiFi works great!

We have stayed at KOA's all over the western U.S. and this place is by far the worst. Unlevel, rundown sites, indifferent staff, extremely rude host. WiFi does not work as advertised. Swimming pool is across a road in the dirt, no grass. Very over priced for what you get. I wouldn't stay at this KOA again if my life depended on it. The host actually tried to charge us an additional $150 for four adults to stay two nights in tents. On the plus side, nice location to visit Bryce and Zions. High elevation for cool nights. So much potential, so poorly run. We like to stay at KOA's because you can always depend on a certian level of quality in facility and staff. That is until now. What a disappointment! I wonder if KOA corporate knows what is going on out at this site.

Great location for visiting Zion, Bryce, Grand Canyon. Grass spots, lots of shade, firepit. Restrooms were clean. Store wasn't completely stocked, but grocery store in Orderville had most required items. Closest full grocery store is in Kanab (30 minutes south). The altitude is high enough that it cools nicely in the evening. Would stay there again.

This campground is run down and they don;t care. The staff was very rude, showers were not cleaned for the whole week we were there. Internet did not work. This campground is in the middle of nowhere and has nothing to offer.I would not recommend this one to anyone. The previous rater hit it right on the head. It could be so much more, but it is not, just a big dissapointment.

We were so excited that we were going to stay here. However, something came up in our schedule (a business trip on the following Monday) and I had to cancel 6 weeks in advance of our scheduled Saturday arrival. I have been a KOA card member for many years. In the rare instance when I had to cancel a reservation way in advance, the campground proprieters were always nice enough to reverse the $10.00 cancellation fee because of my big advance notice. This place was going to cost us $51.07 for one night in a camping cabin so the $10.00 cancellation fee is 20% of that cost! The woman at this KOA said rather abruptly: "No, I can't do that," when I asked her if she'd be NICE enough to reverse the charges. She also pointed out that the web site mentions it when you make your reservation but it was never a problem in the past with a BIG advance notice. I have reservations at 17 other KOA campgrounds on our trip this summer. I had to change my reservation by shifting my reservations over one day at 5 of the other ones and they did not charge any changing fee because I asked. Unfortunately this one was for just one night so I had to cancel it outright. The web site did say something about a cancellation fee but those are usually just when it is a short notice or a no-show and understandably so because they would likely have an empty cabin. But they have 6 weeks to fill up the cabin for one Saturday night! When I had to once cancel a reservation at another KOA in Montana once, they waived the fee because of my big advanced notice. So, later that summer when we were able to reschedule our trip, we were more than happy to stay at that one. This lady was very strict and said that the $10.00 fee was a "credit card processing fee" because it costs money for the initial charge and then to take it off again. Maybe it does, maybe it doesn't. But I doubt it costs her very much and no way is it $10.00. It took her like 30 seconds to say "Ok, it is cancelled." Since it was just before 7:00 pm on a Friday night on May 14, she was likely the owner of the KOA. And you'd think that because I gave a 6 week and one day notice and freed up their Saturday night in June so they could possibly get campers in there for 2 or 3 nights instead of my measely one night (near Zion National Park) that they would be very happy that I gave 6 weeks notice. They have a win/win and I have a loose/loose. Same day notice, same week, and even same month notice I would understand the $10.00 fee but over 6 weeks in advance?? Unbelievable!! Hotels don't do this and neither have the other KOA's I have dealt with because I have always had a big advance notice. Wow. I have been a member for many years and this is really the first time I was treated so abruptly and curtly. BEWARE because this place gives the impression that they are all in it for the money and not in it for the love of people, wanting to support people in their vacation plans, and so on. I am actually glad now that this happened because I'd hate it if I wound up staying here and had some kind of problem because I doubt they'd be very nice. Wow again. In all my years of vacation planning, this woman and her abrupt, "No, I can't do that," really gave me a bad vibe. One of the worst I have ever had. Too bad because we were going to try to stay there later in the summer or next summer. Forget it now!

A great base camp for exploring the national parks of southern Utah. If I had known about it earlier, we would have spent all of our camping nights here. The pastoral setting was beautiful with horses in the fields next to us. We got our choice of roomy, grassy campsite with trees for shade and windbreaks. The main office and staff was friendly and helpful, though the store is not as well stocked as other KOAs. Roomy campsites had room for our 9x12 tent as well as our 9x9 shelter, which we put up over the provided picnic table. Deep fire pits with grates were also provided at each site. The restrooms were always very clean with three shower stalls with sometimes hot, sometimes warm water (fluctuated). The big KOA sign was a little bright, but we could still see the Milky Way at night and could see out way to the restrooms at all hours. Hey, it's a real plus for some of us! The traffic from the highway could be loud for some, but didn't bother us tired hikers. We could have hung out for days, reading and walking in the light breeze, but it's also an excellent gateway to Zion, which we explored twice from this campground. It was also located close to Duck Creek village and the surrounding fishing areas that we took in one afternoon.

Netter Fußweg in 45 min. Auf dem Nachbargrundstück verkauft eine Mormonenfamilie hausgemachte Backwaren - einfach köstlich. Leicht negativ der Verkehrslärm vom HWY 89 durch LKWs an der Steigung.
