Unfortunately this was a bad golf experince. It was so windy the whole 18 holes to the point of ruining the round. It would be fine if the wind had been the only issue, but it wasn't. The staff did a great job ensuring that I will never again play sky mountain golf course. They said, "we'll give you a great deal today, 45 for golf and lunch." They then proceeded to tell us the guy in the snack bar was closing At 4 so you would have to get your food after the first 9 holes. He also listed off 4 choices and said you could have a free cold or hot drink with the meal. When we came into the snack bar after 9 holes I immediately recognized the man working the food because of how rude he was when I had played the course 3 years ago. He was just as much of a jerk this time around. He didn't let us choose any of the options they had made Available to us in the pro shop. Because we had to get our food after 9 holes, we lost our place when we rerounded, and had to hurry to finish before dark. I will never play this course again. It's a shame that the staff can turn a beautiful course ugly. They wonder why they have to run so many ads and deals on such a beautiful course. It's because of the staff!

This golf course has it all! It is absolutely beautiful and the sights are amazing! The food was good and the greens are a wonderful color. This is the perfect place to get away.

While I gave up the game, my golfing friends from Minnesota just love this course. The scenery is just great, so bring your camera along while you play. The course is well maintained, challenging and scenic, so what's not to like? It's also reasonable green fees.

Feels like being on top of the world. Beautiful golf course in great condition. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Nice club house facility. We had a calm day, I imagine the course would play much tougher on a windy day but beautiful views of the surrounding area.

Played today this municipal course and so pleasantly surprised. Condition of course was wonderful, layout very intriguing. The scenery was as good as it gets, staff very pleasant and helpful , was very reasonable price to play. have played 3 courses in 3 days and this is definitely on my repeat list.give it a try you will not be disappointed and surprised at the condition and cost to play.

Here's another course nestled among canyons, mesas and low desert. Fairways and greens could not have been better - very well manicured. The pretty bushes off the fairways are to be avoided. They look nice - but brush against one and you'll be looking for your first aid kit. I know, I know ... stay in the fairways ... but that's not always possible for me at least. It's sort of neat to see a roadrunner darting along the desert - I then look for Wyle Coyote ... but seriously, this is a fun course.Play the back tees for a challenge, the more forward for tees for a less serious game. The guy who runs the snack bar needs an attifude adjustment, but other than him, the staff was friendly. Nice practice range and putting green.Fun place to play.

This course has spectacular views, especially front 9. It's a must play. Got a great rate on golf now.

I know what you're saying, it's not that close to Vegas, but I have golfed in Laughlin, Mesquite, and Las Vegas area golf courses and this tops them all. The view is spectacular, try to golf in the late spring when the mountains are still snow capped. Beautiful, well maintained, and very very reasonable. It used to be $35 on Saturdays years ago, now I think closer to $50....but still a bargain. It is located in, apply named I might add, HURRICANE, UT----and in the spring you may encounter hurricane force winds, I once shot the front nine in shorts and short sleeve shirt, only to add several layers on the back nine as sustained 40 mph winds kicked up, makes it really hard to golf. Still, I golf this course whenever I am in the area, staff is friendly, service is good, bring you camera and takes lots of pictures.

Price was great for what you get. The scenery just about takes your breath away. Course was well-groomed and quiet. Small putting area along side where we hit a few buckets of balls. Easy course, but so nice to see the mountains as you play. The surroundings make up for any drawbacks, including if you are off your game on any given day.

The scenery around the golf course is awesome. The golf course itself is okay. We played the course on a very windy day. Although I would rate the course about an 8 out of 10 it needed more maintenance, grass cutting, repair to the fairways, a marshal to keep the golfers moving, it was so slow.

This course is short and easy, in pretty decent condition, and has good summer bargains. What sets it apart is the fabulous scenery...as good as it gets for a public track.

We ended up booking a last minute tee time at Sky Mountain due to being shut out at Entrada earlier on a Sunday when we were informed our tee time would not be honored. (See my review of The Inn at Entrada) We were pleasantly surprised by the layout at Sky Mountain! We had played Sand Hollow and Coral Canyon on previous trips to St. George and did not know about Sky Mountain. NOW WE DO!! Would recommend Sky over Coral any day, Sand still ranks #1 since we have yet to play Entrada..... Pro shop staff were friendly and accommodating. Friendly grill room staff alerted us that they would be closing at 4:30 so we should "stock up" since we were teeing off at 1:30. Do yourself a favor and play Sky Mountain at your next opportunity.

We took the drive from Las Vegas to the St George area and the trip is very scenic. The course is about 15 miles from St George proper. We arrived and it was cool and windy so make sure you have a jacket or windbreaker along. The views are beautiful and just driving around the course is worth it. The course is challenging so best hit straight if not you will be in the desert or off a cliff. Fairways and greens are in great shape. The front nine has few homes around with many more on the back 9. The personnel were very nice and made it seem that they were glad we came to play.About 2 hours from Vegas plus remember they are 1 hour later as they are in mountain time.

Many people in the area say this is their favorite course. I would agree that it is one of the best. Very friendly staff. Located in a small community "off the beaten path." The course is always in excellent condition and the greens are well maintained. If you are passing through Southern Utah to play golf, don't miss the opportunity to play this course

Great personnel, good grill and fabulous views...I mean it! Pretty course and they keep it moving. But the greens are just silly. Not even fair. But we had fun because decided to just have fun and forget about keeping score.
