Very easy to organise, we are from the UK so did all bookings via email which Patty organised with no problems, unlike some other activities in the area which need to be completed via telephone. We went on the more adventurous three hour tour. Matthew was a fantastic guide, incredibly knowledgable about the area, wildlife, riding and had beautiful horses. They were very easy going and Matthew explained how to deal with the more rugged terrain when we approached it. I had only been on a horse a couple of times and a great time on this tour, as did my girlfriend who is an experienced rider. The canyon is beautiful and we recommend this tour if you want to be up close and personal with the Utah environment by a different means of transportation. Wanted to say thank you to Matthew for a great ride.

We arranged our horseback ride through Red Mountain Resort, where we were staying. Matt was our trail guide. Our trail ride was in the evening (7-9 PM) so that the temperature was cooler for us and the horses. I am a novice horseback rider. I've only been on a horse a few times in my life. We had no problem riding these horses. They were very well-behaved. The trail ride was a 2-hour relaxed walk over 7 miles. It was relaxing and was my favorite experience of my vacation. Matt was very pleasant, knowledgeable, and informative. He talked a lot about the horses, the land, the history of the area. I felt comfortable asking him lots of questions. Relaxing conversation on horseback. I also liked that the horses wear thin mesh masks over their mouths during the 2-hour ride so that they don't stop to feed on vegatation, which can frighten novice riders. The horses' focus is on the trail which makes it easy for the riders.

Patty was wonderful in arranging my trail ride . I called her a few weeks out and received the information on the ride. I am an experienced rider and back east I myself work as a guide taking guests out on trail rides at a local ranch in the Adirondack Mountain area of NY. Matthew the guide for the 3 hour ride is an experienced horseman with much local knowledge to share along the trip through Snow Canyon. This ride brought us to he top of Snow Canyon that offered great views from all sides. The horses were all calm and well accustomed to riders of all ability . This ride I believe should be top on the list for anyone visiting Utah and the St George area.

Matt was our guide for this ride through Snow Canyon. He was very informative about the history and geology of the area and it was well worth the ride just for that and the beautiful country. The horses were very well trained and this would be a fine ride for a novice. For more experienced riders sit back and enjoy the country. There is no adventure riding (not even a trot) but they are not able to do so because of park regulations. it is a great way to see the park and learn the history. i would recommend this trip for anyone

Our ride on the Gila Trail in Snow Canyon State Park was beautiful and the time passed too quickly. Matthew, our wrangler/guide, is a native of the area and provided a good narration of history and culture. The horses were gentle and easy. This is a great way to experience Snow Canyon. My foot has been bothering me, so this was easier than a hike for me.

We went on a 2 hour trail ride and were so impressed with the guide, the horses, and the beautiful scenery. Our guide knew where to go and gave us meaningful commentary. The horses were responsive and sure footed. The scenery was awesome. I would recommend Snow Canyon Trail Rides to anyone!!!

Morning ride with Matt to the N end of Snow Canyon. Go early to beat the heat. Horses are gentle and its a really nice ride. Matt was great--very knowledgable about plants, animals and geology of the area. We hope to come back in cooler weather and do the lower canyon with them. This is an excellent value and really professional outfit!

This is our 2nd ride with Snow Canyon Trail Rides. This time we enjoyed exchanging stories with our guide, Matthew on our 4 hour ride to the north rim where we dismounted and had a nice lunch while the horses rested. The horses are well-mannered, pleasant and easy to ride. Having had my own horses makes it more of a pleasure to ride another nice one. Matthew was knowledgable about the area, the history behind Snow Canyon as well as plants and trees in the area. If you can, spring for the 4 hour ride - it includes a break with lunch!!

Ben had some great horses for us to ride and even adjusted the time of the ride so that we could do it when we had time, since no one else had scheduled for that day. Ben knew a lot about history, plants and the geology of the area. It is a great way to see Snow Canyon State Park.

We are so thrilled this was the highlight of your wonderful vacation, considering there are so many spectacular sights in southern Utah. But we do get that comment time and again, as this is a truly awesome ride and sight to behold!

It is sad that when someone doesn't show up for their reserved ride (even though they tell you they are coming to the ride when they are 10 minutes late), that they must make up these false allegations and untruths to justify their bad behavior.

Go early before it gets too hot (and before the masses get out of bed and into your photos!!). Only 15 mins from St George.
