We come here every year and love the ambience of the resort. It feels very intimate and the staff does an amazing job making you feel at home. Food is excellent and the lodging would be considered luxury rustic. Great place for couples and families!

I lived here for twelve years, it was the most idyllic time of my life. Redford has done a wonderful job of preserving the beauty and majesty of that area... Also the "when did you visit" doesn't work well...

Whether you ski or snowboard or not, it's just a great place to hang out. There's plenty of options to dine, but you want to book in advance. Also try the deli for good coffee and they make sandwiches to order. Outside is obviously where all the action happens and hang out by the fire to soak in the atmosphere.

A great "free" ski place to wander around. Fire pit in Winter and a "cool off" place to go for a couple of hours in the Summer. You can shop a bit and eat too. Lots of rich layback movie type people stay there and ski. Robert Redford owns it and people say they have seen him there. There's a fancy restaurant and a casual one plus a bar that has food and live music.

I love to go to Sundance and visit often. We love to go just to walk around the grounds and to eat out and enjoy year round activities. It is beautiful no matter what time of year. The staff is friendly and helpful. They have so much to do. You just really need to go and enjoy the Sundance Experience. There is nothing that I have ever disliked.

The canyon and the resort are beautiful. It's lower in altitude than some of the other ski resorts in UT so sometimes it's a little warmer which makes the snow a little slushy. Check the ski report and temps before going. The restaurant is delicious but expensive. Convenient location if you live in Utah county. The skiing is fun and had difficulty levels for everyone in our group.

My first time skiing in 16+ years...and I didn't die! Just one little fall! :DAs a cheapass lazy San Diegan, I'm too lazy to drive 3-6+ hours to the nearest ski resort and spend $$$$$ to go skiing. Luckily Sundance Mountain Resort was just a easy 30 minute drive from my buddy's house. I think this is one of the smaller ski resorts, but its also one of the cheaper ones. The main course was fun and long enough to satisfy a rusty novice skier like myself. Good for beginners and first-timers. I also ran into some folks from southern California whom said it was 3 times less crowded than resorts in Mammoth and Big Bear. Total Expenses:$55 Half Day Lift Ticket (only $16 if you're a senior!)$20 Skis, Boots, Poles$3 Equipment Insurance(optional)$7 Locker Rental $9 Tuna Sandwich$3 Water Bottle$2.50 Coffee$5 Craft Beer $104.50 TOTALSkiing/Snowboarding is not for the poor, but Sundance is still cheaper than other ski resorts in the area.

Nice ski resort. Very convenient and fast to reach from Utah County. Lower in the canyon means less travel time, but it also has less snow, so plan accordingly. I let my kids come here and ski for the day without me because it's pretty safe mountain and well run ski resort. Views are gorgeous all year round -- nice place to visit in the off season, too.

If you like clean air, beautiful scenery and want to escape the traffic, checkout Sundance. Meander through the mountains and stop at the resort. It was early September and the leaves were just starting to change. We took the ski lift and enjoyed a peaceful and scenic ride. Besides the concert on the grass, walking around Sundance Studios was a real treat. There are running brooks and rustic buildings that are very picturesque. The shops and restaurant are nice but a little pricey.

This area is beatuiful.... there are several resturants here, a general store and numerous places to shop.... most wonderful of all is the flowing river! You can rent cabins here and sit on your patio while drinking wine with a fire listening to the river flow........

We spent a few days in UT visiting friends while on vacation from NJ. After a stroll in Park City where we had lunch at Zoom, we headed to Sundance to check it out before we had to get back to SLC to pick up our friend from work whose car we were using. We took the sky lift ride up to the Summit and then came back down. The air is so clean and the views were just spectacular. The drive we took from SLC to Sundance was amazing and gorgeous If we weren't pressed for time, it would've been nice to stroll around the resort a bit more, but we enjoyed our time regardless. I don't ski, but I imagine Sundance is heaven for those who do during the winter. We were lucky to have the benefit of perfect weather. sunny and 70. The ski lift operators were very nice and friendly (one was originally from NJ), and the grounds were clean and well kept.

we rode ski lifts up the mountain and hiked down. great hike this time of the year, there is a fall at the turn around point, but then from there we got lost and went to the aspen ski trail

We took an incredible ride up the mountain on the ski lift and decided to hike down to Steward Falls and back to the lodge. It was a hearty hike and well worth the adventure. Saw some amazing scenery... Breathtaking!

My wife and I started our adventure going up American Fork Canyon to see the fall folage on the Alpine Loop that is a small back country paved road that goes behind Mt. Timpanogus from American fork Canyon to Sundance Ski and Summer Resort to the south. It is always a wonderful drive at anytime of year that the gates are open(May to Nov.). Although it was too early for the Aspen's gold and all the other trees seem to have already passed their peak of color, the diversity with the towering Pines made for some great pictures. We opted out of breaking off the road to go to Cascade Springs which is well worth the little side trip(especially in spring) so we could get to Bridal Veil falls. As we approached The Sundance Area we soon had a rush of spontinaity when we saw that one of the ski lifts were doing scenic nature rides. We parked, grabbed our ticket and were on the lift in no time. It was just what i didn't know I was looking for. A long ride to the top of a peak taking nature pics, selfies and watching all the mountain-bikers slash in and out of the trees and fields. It was a bit early in the afternoon for much wildlife viewing aside from a few chipmunks. A few more pics at the top and headed back down. Walked the shops, read the history and tasted the snacky treats. They also do Under the Stars theater in the summer too and if time permitted we'd have stayed for the dining which i hear is wonderful. A short distance down Provo canyon and Bridal Veil Falls reveals itself. There's a viewing area from the Highway but do yourself a favor and go down to the base of the falls. Thre's a park you can walk thru to get there or continue driving a few blocks and you'll find a bridge over Provo River to the Falls. Many years ago I worked a tram here that was the steepest tram in the world. For years I frequented the dances they had at the top on the weekends until the winter of 1994. A massive avalanche came down the falls and wiped out the Caboose Snack Shop, Gift Shop, bridge and control booth. It laid that way for a while but rumer had it that a company wa going to re-open the tram but so far they only have a little snack bar and fish feeders. You can still walk the trail to the base of the lower falls. I did many pictures of brides in their gowns once upon a time up there. We left and found ourselves in a competitive mood so being spontanious we stopped just beyond the mouth of Provo canyon at a little miniature golf place to finish the loop and a wonderful day.

As soon as you arrive at the Sundance Resort you know you are where you always want to be. It is serene, yet rugged. The scenery cannot be beat.On arrival I was greeted by Paul, the bell person who was the total representative of Sundance. He was friendly, accommodating and thorough. Then dinner in the Foundry Grill was made totally perfect by Anthony our Wait person. He loves his job and that made it perfect. He recommended the Steelhead trout and he was so right. Then after dinner he suggested items for breakfast and again hit a perfect Bullseye. The setting, cabin and meals were superb. Can't wait to go back and enjoy it even more.
