This is my favorite drive in the world so far. It's humbling as you realize are small humans are and how awesome nature is. GO!

Decided to take the more scenic route on the way out of Moab and was glad we did. I should have known to expect great views, but I didn't do my homework and this caught me off guard in a very pleasant way. We didn't make very good time since I was constantly enjoying the view, pulling over for "normal" drivers and stopping to take pictures and enjoy the scenery. Enjoyed the transition from steep canyon walls to more sedate prairie surroundings. I'm not sure of the added time to our trip, but this would have been worth it as a side trip and not only as an alternative route.

I first went on this road to go for a horseback ride at mile marker 21 but had to go back the next day when I didn't have a time restraint just to take photographs. Spectacular and worth visiting.

We stayed off of this road so went back and forth on it several times a day. Never got tired of the view - which changes completely over the course of the road. From western prairie to towering buttes it is amazing. Negro Bill Canyon is also on the road, along with many other trails. A must visit.

We travelled Route128 from I-70 into Moab versus the faster Route 191. Route 128 is the scenic route and goes by the Colorado Riverway Rec area. As is was November and a bit chilly, we did not go in the river! I recommend this route if you have a few extra minutes.

The is one of the best scenic roads I've taken. You can take it from Moab to I-70. The canyon walls are right next to the road and it's just beautiful. If you're travelling between I-70 & Moab and you have an extra hour or so, take this road; you won't be disappointed.

While out along the the Colorado Riverway to view the glorious deciduous trees in October and November be sure to include a stop at the river rafting use ramps to use the picnic tables for a snack or lunch. Very quiet, yet Moab locals can still be doing river outings, mostly you see parked vehicles for the shuttle. It is always fun to skip stones and listen to the water pass. When the Colorado River is low, it is an emerald green.

Had a great boat ride (scenic) as opposed to adventuresome where the driver does 360 degree turns! Beautiful trip on the Colorado River.

we took bypass/Hwy 128 as recommended by other trip Advisor members. Jaw dropping cool. Our travel schedule didn't allow any actual 'staying' or enjoying the River or hiking or biking, but we WILL return. Just driving along on 128 and seeing what we saw was an experience in itself!

This is the second year in a row my wife and I travelled this beautiful road. We went somewhat out of our way to see it again. It stretches from I70 down to Moab following the Colorado River. The road and the river twist and turn with high red rock formations towering closely about. When the lighting is right, the views are even more spectacular. The muddy Colorado follows you all the way with water activities like kayaking, personal water crafting and rafting. Along the way is Castle Valley and Fisher Towers(for scaling)There is also a good winery and 2 luxury ranches along the way. Just as you reach Moab, there is a foot bridge that AAA chose to put on the cover of their Utah tour book last year. My wife and I have travelled much of the US and agree this is one magnificent road.

Quiet place, with a fantastic view at few meters from Colorado river, with all amenities needed to make a great picnic, but the food must be bring from home.

The views are really great. The road is easy and be sure to stop at the winery for a "small" tasting.

We rode this road on our motorcycle and it was beautiful. Red cliffs on both sides to enjoy while motoring along. We then turned around and rode it coming back into Moab just as beautiful. It was not a long ride but well worth the time.

A very scenic road to motorcycle along. The dmoring ride, just after sunrise, makes for great viewing, and the cool among the rocks make it very enjoyable. If you bicycle, there are paths just for you, too.

We spent time in this beautiful area and enjoyed every minute. We saw rock art, swam in river, saw night skies, went to Red Cliffs ranch for lunch and the museum. There are endless opportunities for enjoyment. In short, we wish we'd had more time.
