We stumbled upon this winery on our way to the farm market, so we stopped by on our way out. Tastings are free and they will let you try any wines you want. Prices for bottles are very reasonable and the wines were good. The Etowah Derailer and the Ocoee Sun Set are very good.

We were delighted to find some interesting new wines that we'd not had before. Recommend trying the Ocoee Gold Sunset and Etowah Derailer as they are unique to the area.

Even if you do not drink wine...the mountain view is worth the trip. And their employees are so informative and happy to answer any questions you have!!!

We stopped for a visit during our weekend stay in Tennessee back in April 2012. It ended up being the highlight of our trip. There was a wedding event on the day we arrived as well as many visitors in the gift shop waiting to be served different wines for tasting. In all that chaos, the owner was still able to set aside some time to give us a tour of his wine making facility. It was the most memorable part our trip. What he showed us was a very scientific approach that I had never seen before as well as his passion for wine making. He even gave us their cork with the pig on it as a keepsake (S.O.W. for Savannah Oaks Winery). This was yet another detail that is an added touch to the bottling process of their very good wines. Yes, we finally sampled quite a few of them from blackberry to peach wine. We were tossed on which ones to pick. We ended up getting a bottle each of the Ocoee Gold Sunset, Peach, and the Hiwassee Red Hussy. All the wines we tasted were very good. They also sell cheese, fudge, and other assorted items made from local businesses in the area. If you're not into wine, then there are other snacks or keepsake items that can be purchased in their gift shop. There is also a breathtaking view of the mountains and countryside. I will definitely go back if ever in that area again. It was an experience I will always remember.

Savannah Oaks Winery is a family owned and run winery and party venue just off US Hwy 411 in Delano, TN right near the Hiwassee River. They have a lovely gift shop and wine tasting room located in a restored historic barn. The is also a building for live entertainment, weddings and such. Their wines are very good indeed and reasonably priced. Check out their website @ www.savannah-oaks-winery.com. If you enjoy wine or just love quaint picturesque places to visit you should plan a stop here when you are in SE Tennessee. Also talk to them about hosting your event!
