Visit this area and the gift shop every year when we visit the graveyard at Bandy Creek, Katy Blevins Cemetery. My grandchildren always want to stop and the gift shop!

This is and will always be a wonderful place to keep your horse while camping at Bandy Creek Camp Ground. The stalls are large, dry and safe. The barns are situated nicely and not too close. There is a mounting block to mount, a nice little store where you check in with t-shirts and such. The managers are BobbyGene and Gretta York...Fantastic people that have turned into great friends. The trail is right on the Stable Grounds and are well marked. We love it here and have been coming for 15 years or so.

If you bring your own horse they have stalls to rent, many riding trails, and some that last for days. A great place for horseback riders from everywhere.

This is the best place to ride your horse out of! Great campground, warm bathrooms, strong water pressure!!! Safe place for your horses!

Bobby Gene and Gretta York operate Bandy Creek Stables which offer first-rate accomodations for horses: the stalls are roomy and solidly made, with protective overhangs shielding the hitching posts. The barns can be lighted at night, and there is water and a horse-bathing platform at each barn. There is direct access to miles of trails. The Yorks provide excellent service and work very hard to make the stable area clean and inviting, and to help in any way to make you welcome and your horse comfortable and safe. The campground, just a short 1/4 mile away, has paved parking for your trailer. Each place has water and electricity, a fire ring, and a post on which to hang lights or lanterns. Bath houses are tiled and clean. The trails are well maintained, clearly marked, and offer loops from one hour to all day riding. There is no other place like Bandy Creek and the Big South Fork -- we've been riding there since 1989, and have ridden in many other places in the Southeast.
