I must tell the truth about this place.....All the advertising, which was the highlight of the Sweetwater Market, lured us in. That won't happen again. The trip there started going downhill as soon as we exited our car.I have never, or at least very rarely seen such a huge collection of cheap stuff. Not sure what we were thinking that day. I guess we were suckers for a flea market, but this was a massive collection of stuff straight off the boat from Asia. The clientele was not the best, with seemingly banjo music playing in the background. If they didn't file Deliverance near this cesspool of a flea market, it wasn't far away. Complete waste of time, with little redeeming value.

over 3/4 of market was empty. Just won't ever go again. Many years ago was a super place now, JUST DON'T BOTHER!

The Sweetwater Flea Mkt. is great!! The building is really large and then they have outside Vendors. I try and stop every time I pass through here. Yes, there are lots of tube socks but I always find a treasure. There are two antique shops on the outside of the flea mkt building. I sometimes can not fit what I would like to purchase into the van. Great shops downtown like all flea mkts and malls you sometimes have to dig to find you a treasure but they are there. And really good places to eat! The Dinner Bell Restaurant is the best! Good southern cookin!

Stay on the interstate and drive fast past this place! I love flea markets and have probably been to hundreds. This is a dump. I actually felt sorry for the few people that looked like they needed to be there. Tube socks. cheap makeup and accessories. Some rabbits in cages. Gun belts and camouflage things. I AGREE with the other reviewer… the town should not advertise this…..if they care about their rep. Über disappointed!

It is really pitiful that the town of Sweetwater and the county it's in advertises for this place and is so proud of it. It's old, dirty and there's hardly any food or anywhere to sit and eat. It's only open Sat & Sun and some of the vendors were CLOSED on Saturday. This is absolutely the most pathetic and nasty flea market I've ever been to. The majority of vendors are selling stuff made in China, there is really nothing unique here. They claim to have 3 buildings (north/main/south) but it's just one large building - you'll cover all 3 areas in no time and think "that was it?" The only thing worth seeing is the antique store next to the market (if you like antiques). If you are in the Knoxville/Sevierville area, go to the Smoky Mountain flea market instead - it's big enough and not half as nasty looking.
