We went to Sunflower Farm years ago, when my oldest was a younger kid. We always had a blast there, and she would leave happy, dirty and exhausted from chasing chickens and running around. This was our first visit back in a few years, and some things have changed (they are open to the public fewer days so it's VERY crowded, but they have added more areas and things to do). If you are in in the vicinity of Longmont with kids, try to get here. It is a full day of fun - there is a sturdy treehouse, they have animals to pet and feed, pony rides, tons of swings and hammocks, trikes and other ride-ons, a sandbox area, a small zip line, etc. - all kinds of fun! Bring a lunch or buy there (check the website to see if there will be food vendors the day you go) and enjoy a day of adventures.
