Stopped on a whim taking 119 to Boulder, and couldn't have been more impressed! This little store has a huge selection of minerals, fossils, jewelry, and glass. Worth a stop if only to look at all of the beautifully displayed items. The staff was very kind and helped answer any questions we had, especially about minerals that were found locally. Ended up buying some awesome pieces for our home, which were wrapped carefully for our flight home. They helped us pick out some outstanding specimens, which was helpful for beginner collectors like ourselves. There is something for everyone here, from $1 tourist polished rocks to $15,000 geodes.We saw some megoladon teeth and fossilized shrimp, and the store had multiples of these specimens to choose from. Choose what speaks to you!

We stumbled across Nature's Own on our drive of the Peak to Peak highway. I was impressed with the selection of rocks and minerals. They donate their profits to various charities, and the prices are very modest compared to other shops.

Nature's Own is a wonderful not-for-profit delight located in the quirky little town of Nederland Co. It carries an incredible selection of nature and science toys, gifts, and especially jewelry, fossils, and minerals. My personal jewelry collection has been enhanced by the offerings of the local jewelers and silversmiths that display their wares there! Kids and adults love to wander their aisles admiring the fossils. They also carry a good selection of books geared to Colorado adventures. All in all, a great stop!!!
