This tasting room is in the bottom floor of a residence. They have a sitting area on the patio where you can enjoy a glass. I like Malbec and they have a nice one. We spoke with the gentleman that grows the grapes and he was very kind to answer our questions as he was passing by outside. Everyone in Palisade is so friendly. We really enjoyed our visit.

This was our first time at Avant and the setting is spectacular. Overlooking the Colorado River, the winery has an expansive view that is worth pausing for. The wines are also very good and the tasting room is very modern. Quite nice!

The hubby and I visited and really enjoyed the drive to the home through the winery. We arrived to overlook a gorgeous scenery of the mountains and the pond below with huge fish swimming. We walked I to the quiet tasting room with a wonderful lady named ulga. She opened a good chianti that my husband and I drank on the lawn staring into the quiet view. This is a new winery and I believe they are one to go and visit!

Avant Vineyards is a by appointment wine tasting experience. You can miss a dentist appointment, nail appointment, hair appointment, client appointment and even a doctor's appointment........but trust me, you will not want to miss an appointment at Avant.Neil (the grape grower) and Diane (the winemaker) are spot on with their hobby. Neil, with a chuckle, says "this is an out of contol hobby". They make a little bubbly, two different Rose', a Viognier, Reisling, Cab Franc/Syrah/Petite Verdot Blend, Tempranillo, Cab Sauv/Sangiovese and a single varietal Sangiovese. The wines are nicely balanced and are on the dry side and truely YUMMY. Price points from $7.99 to $39.99. That is not a typo. ReallyAvant is a no nonsense, no frills winery, the tasting area is the bar in the house downstairs in the Family Room. Out the door is a perfect small patio for tasting outside. Take a few steps across the lawn and you will be amazed with the views of the Grand Valley from the cliff above the Colorado River. Majestic.Call ahead. Don't be surprised if Neil meets you in the driveway while being out in the vineyard and orchard in his work clothes. Neil is infectious with agricultural entrepreneurial energy and passion. This definately qualifies as an off-the-beaten-path find. Tip - Take the time to learn their story. Your tasting experience will be enhanced. If you like this Review or you take the advice and make an appointment and experience Avant click that the Review was helpful down below so others can see it.FINS UP ___/)___
