This is not a 5 star resort facility but as a place to work out and meet nice people it is extremely nice. The cost is reasonable and the staff is very friendly and professional. They get to know you quickly and are very accommodating. They regularly try new things to keep things fresh. Any problems brought to their attention are quickly resolved. The clientele at this center are quite normal and friendly. They will help out a newcomer to exercise or just make you feel welcome. People who come here range from the new to exercise to the cross fit people. All the special classes are free, yes free.

This facility has it all...a great free weight work out room, circuit weights, a great work out machine, quite a few bike choices and treadmills. They have racquetball courts, basketball courts, and an indoor running track. They have a nice pool, hot tub and steam rooms too. The staff is very polite and will help you with any questions. I do not live in Thornton, but they have a fair price for outside people. You can get a punch card at a better price too.

Love the year around pool and other amenities. We take our kids here several times a month to practice their swimming. My only complaint is with the lifeguard staff. (Youth trainees in reality) There are no full lists of rules available, and depending on which of the lifeguards are on duty will depend on what rules are being enforced. Being going here for years and still don't know what rules are actually rules or just something the lifeguard decided is good that day. Really annoying

This is our local rec center so we are there once a month or so. The pool is fantastic and has a big slide and a lazy river as well as a wave pool. It can get kind of crowded so try and visit on lower volume days. They also have excellent workout facilities and the locker rooms are plenty big enough to support a crowd. The facility itself is very well kept and they have a good summer camp.My biggest love at the rec center is that they do Boy Scout and Cub Scout swim checks - $2 and you are set!

This is a nice newer park off of 112th. It has a cute lake, some walking paths, a skateboard park, kids play area and tennis courts. It also has restroom facilities and parking. What it doesn't have is any sort of lighting for after dusk walking/running. It's small enough to be too crowded on the weekends with kids running everywhere. For free - it's certainly not a bad attraction.

The staff and the people who go there to look fit and beautiful or look like they are working on it are very pleasant and friendly. There are many free classes and activities It makes working out somewhere you look forward to going

I lived in Thornton for 32 years and just recently moved away. There's a saying of "you don't know what you have until it's gone" would best describe my currents city's recreation program. Thornton's facility is A-mazing! There's something to do for everyone all year around. The program classes offered are reasonably priced and the staff was always helpful and friendly. We really miss the pride the city and community has put towards such a great facility. Can't wait to come back home!!
