Went to Cripple Creek for the first time on New Year's Eve with friends. Cripple Creek is basically a small mountain town with a bunch of casinos, and Wildwood is the biggest one(I think). All the casinos are smaller than your typical Vegas casino, and with that in mind I thought Wildwood was really nice and had a good amount of table and slot offerings. We also had the buffet, which had a good amount of selection and the food was good as well, all for around $22 per person I believe. As a gambler I definitely will return to Cripple Creek, and also to Wildwood.

Your average casino, it's not on the main drag like the other casinos but they do have a shuttle that will come and get you. Then will take you back free of charge. The drivers are very nice. I always give them a couple of $ each way. Went to the gift shop or maybe that was the snack bar but bought my Rock Stars was surprised to find my favorite flavor there so bought 3. They charged me $2.50 each pretty expensive but ok since there was no other place in town that had them. Any way a couple of days latter I went back to buy one more they charged me $3.19 for one. Totally a rip off. I did play a little but found the machines very tight. I also asked about a hotel and they do have one further up the hill the guy said it had a indoor pool. However I did not go check it out. Maybe next time.

Had a room that was compted for me and they charged my debit card over 90 bucks putting all my accounts into the negative so much for a compted room. Plus because of my service dog i was put into a basement room the had broken glass all over the floor. This place treated me badly i will never stay there again.

Stopped in on our ramblings through the mountains. The best thing is it is smoke free! Very clean, looks like new place. Friendly staff, and not as LOUD as other casinos. Laid back atmosphere. We did not eat so cannot give review on the food. We will most likely stay a weekend on our next trip.

We visited on a Friday afternoon. Nice casino and very clean. We gambled a bit then decided to grab some lunch at the restaurant/bar. Waited for 20 minutes to give our drink order, then forgotten about. Finally got drinks and our pizza (which was good), but not worth the 40 minute wait for it. The waitresses were too busy conversing with other employees to be bothered waiting on paying customers. We left and went downtown and decided to go back to the Wildwood for supper. BIG MISTAKE!!! The crab and prime rib buffet sounded pretty good, but the hot food was not hot, the crab legs tasted funny and the boiled shrimp had some sort of slime on them. For 23.99 a person, I would expect something better. The prime rib was cold. Won't go back

I'm not a big casino person but this place isn't bad as casinos go. Best feature is it's smoke free! Big plus for me. Staff is quite friendly and helpful. It's quite large and I believe it's the biggest casino in cripple creek. They have all the standard table games plus lots of slot machines. There are a couple of different restaurants on site which are not bad. They also have free shuttle service to and from Colorado Springs

Enjoyed playing cards and the slot machines at the Wildwood. The seafood/steak buffet at its restaurant was delicious and reasonable.

My wife and I stopped here and were excited when we didn't smell cigarette smoke. This was a big plus for us. The food was average. I walked out with $80 more than I came in with, all in all it was a good day.

This is a very well done new casino at the entry curve into Cripple Creek. It is nicely decorated and we found the staff to be helpful and friendly. The food in the restaurants was fantastic and the gaming seemed to be about what you would expect. Quit while you are still behind!!

I had a wonderful time here, especially playing craps. They provide hard plastic cups for your free self-serve sodas or coffee. Staff here is very friendly.

Last year we went to this casino for my birthday and had a really good time! I "tipped a cow" at customer service and we won two free dinners at the Mavericks dinner buffet. The atmosphere was happy in the casino and people were having fun. I actually won a bit of money at the slots! This year my wife and I and some friends went back on my birthday. What a difference this past year has made.First of all there is no more birthday celebration....no cows to tip! The dinner buffet is now around $24-$25 a head now. No one was in line to eat so we thought we would try the Saddle Bar restaurant instead. We went in and sat down. A server covered in tattoos brought us menus and spoke so fast we thought for sure she was on meth! She came back about 20 minutes later and took our order. After a half hour wait, I got up and asked about our dinners. Evidently they were ready earlier and just waiting as they came right out and were barely warm.I had ordered a draft beer, $3..50, and it came in a small beer glass around 10 oz. We didn.'t talk much and we were pretty much the only people in there. There were about four waitresses in there and they all stood around talking to one another and the bar tendress. They looked slovenly in their outfits that often showed midriff rolls..Our server came scooting by later and dropped off the check. She said something so quickly no one understood. We just went to the cashier's station and waited till someone showed up to take our payment. We then tried gambling at the slots but it was just depressing. Then we took the free shuttle down to Bronco Billy's and tried our luck there. It wasn't as boring there and we did win a little bit of money. We will go back to Cripple Creek but not back to Wildwood. It has just gone too far down hill.

Once again we drove 150 miles to stay in Cripple Creek and have a nice dinner at the buffet what another disappointment. Got there and the buffet was closed again. told weather/tornadoes, got manager and found out blocked pipe. told them a note on the door explaining would have been nice...same stuff over and over again. They did comp out meal at one of the other restaurants, but the food was marginal and my wife got sick, also when talking with the fire department 4 of their guys got sick on the food that night also... they have some serious problems with their casino and motel.

The Wildwood Casino is a little larger than the average Cripple Creek casino. It was nice and had an OK breakfast buffet. I expected more on a Sunday morning for brunch, but there was some variety and the food was palatable. Other than the omelet chef, the staff was not that friendly.

We have been coming to the Wildwood Casino since it opened. Every visit has been enjoyable. Although we don't always win (its much better when we do), the restaurant staff, bartenders, and dealers are always friendly, efficient and accommodating. They have great comps, and the food is pretty good. This casino has the best variety of table games in the entire city. When we used to come with my mom (she was disabled) they always made her feel welcome, and helped her with her cards if she was struggling.
