Keystone Ranch course a "must do" on a golfer's visit to CO. Set at 9000 above sea level and surrounded by gorgeous mountain scenery. The course was designed on a old ranch and features beautiful and challenging holes. Tees are set for black, blue, white, gold and red to accommodate all skill levels. The staff is courteous and helpful. The beverage girls are always available to quench your thirst and boost your morale.

We played the front nine holes one day and eighteen holes the next. Open skies meet you as the golf cart climbs the beautiful cart path to challenging holes up and down the mountain. Take your time to breath as you go up more than 9,000 feet.

The highlight of our trip to Colorado was the 2 hour trail ride! The guides were wonderful. They had great information on the area. They also made sure all riders were at ease on the horses. The views were breath-taking. The horses were calm and well-cared for, and the guides were excellent.

We went horseback riding at Keystone Stables. We went on the 2 hour ride. It was fantastic! The scenery was incredible! We loved our horses. They really keep their horses well. The guides were great & very knowledgeable of the area. We were so lucky because we encountered a moose! That was a treat to see!

We played at the Keystone Golf Course- The River Course- and am anxious to play the Ranch Course tomorrow! What a wonderful experience from start to finish. Right off the start you are greeted by a very professional staff! Everything was so well organized. Included in the price is the driving range and the putting green- both in great shape. We started on time and played at a steady pace. The entire course was in great shape! And the views- outstanding and breathtaking. (I'm writing this positive review to contrast my negative review for the Copper Mountain Golf course.)

I have taken this sleigh ride many times over the years and it is always fantastic! If you are lucky enough to do this on a full moon night, it becomes magical. The guides are fabulous, interactive and informative. The cabin they take you to is warm and rustic! I love snuggling in with a shot of schnapps, good food and a GREAT guitar player! We always end of singing along! Do not miss this experince, but be WARNED...do not take the Breckenridge Dinner Sleigh Ride. They take you on a tour round a golf course and you have dinner, not in a rustic cabin, but at a golf club. No charm or character. We made the mistake in assuming "all sliegh rides were the same". This is not so, but Keystone does it right!! Thank you Keytone Stables...kepp up the great work!

The Dinner Sleigh Ride at Keystone resort is a wonderful time! You ride a bus out to the ranch, which is in a remote location. The sleigh ride is a nice 20 minute ride out to a charming historic ranch with original cowboy cabins. Dinner is served is an intimate log cabin with a total of only 20 or so guests. After a chilly ride, you are warmed up with beef stew and biscuits and honey butter. The hot chocolate is very rich and tasty. The steak was excellent, and they also offer chicken or salmon. The menu is topped off with apple pie and ice cream. The entertainment is casual guitar and vocals, just very pleasant, but not corny or over the top. After dinner, it is another 20 minute ride under the stars back to the bus. A delightful experience.

Keystone offers the perfect summer getaway for golfers, bikers, hikers, fishermen or anyone that simply wants to escape heat and humidity and enjoy the beauty of the Rocky Mts. in the summer.Keystone offers two entirely different golf courses. The older course, Keystone Ranch, is a Scottish links style course winding through a valley and an old working ranch. Par 72 with traditional designs by Robert Trent Jones, Jr. A great test of golf. The newer course, The River Course at Keystone Resort, is shorter and more scenic with huge elevation changes. It's a par 71 with some very tough par 3's and at downhill 500 yard par 4 16th hole that is a special challenge.I enjoy both courses equally. Our visitors seem to prefect the River Course due to the elevation changes and the scenery. But both are great courses.

Nice one hour ride, they offer 2, 3, and 4 hour rides as well. The horses are well taken care of, the trail is filled with wild flowers. It has rained often in Summit County this summer, so the wild flowers are abundant. This was our third time visiting the Kestone Stables, so obviously we enjoy their stable. I rode Hunter/Jumpers until I was 20 years old, so I would have enjoyed "a little more horse" but hey these are quiet trail horses that grandma or a 5 year old can ride. They are actually priceless, very hard to find nice quiet horses that are not in the least bit barn sour. We had a great time!

Hiked and biked all around the Keystone Ranch trails north of Keystone Resort. Sad to see the pine beetle damage but still incredible views and scenery. Locals very cool and helpful - some resort areas can carry some arrogance. Definitely would return.

We just played the River Course at Keystone and found it to be fun and challenging. The scenery is absolutely beautiful and course was in incredible shape. The golf pro and his staff were very accommodating and the grill was a great place to grab a bite afterwards. If you're in the area, it's a great golfing experience.

We always play at the Keystone Ranch course every summer as we have the Colorado VIP golf book (2 for 1). Greens fees for when we visited were $125 so that is a nice savings. The course is in a very pretty valley, no sweeping vistas but nice views. They had a tournament the day were were there so things were a bit slow and with the afternoon rains we only got in 17 holes. The course is in good shape with many natural areas - forget about looking for an errant ball. Green conditions can change during the day, slow at first then way too fast, a tap sends the ball flying. Also many greens have multiple breaks, the course info cards in the cart help but greens are a challenge. The restaurant is nice and you can order a sandwich at the turn.

The design of this course is of championship caliber. Which means it can play very difficult for the casual golfer. The greens are hard and almost impossible to hold and few holes allow you to run the ball up at the pin. Usually, you are coming in over traps or hazards. That makes for challenging golf in determining club selection and shot shape. That was made even more difficult the day we played by the strong, gusty winds. I don't know if it's just the weather and resulting growing conditions in the mountains, but the fairways had many bare or dead spots and the lies were very thin. It seemed you were better off in the short rough. A few greens suffered from the same conditions. But, other courses I've played in the mountains suffer some of the same conditions. We started our round at 10:30 am in 80 degree sunshine and finished in 4+ hours in 50 degrees and rain. I've played this course and experienced all 4 seasons in one round, including snow. There are some nice views and, as I mentioned earlier, the design allows for interesting holes. The price was a bit high I thought but probably within reasonable limits for a resort course.
