A really fun place to experience some great beers. The owners and brewmaster are super friendly and knowledgeable. The Agitated Aardvark Imperial IPA is wonderful. It's a bit off the beaten path but worth the hunt.

Our supplier colleages decided to take us for a drink after our meetings all day. Service was great, really friendly environment and even somewhere to sit outside. You should try the coffee flavoured beer recommended. Great little gem hiding away!!

I did a solo tour of two breweries and a distillery while my fiance was out shopping. This was my last stop. It's my new favorite. The staff was great, and I had a very nice time talking with the owner and one of his daughters (who works there). Tried several beers, and liked them all. They had a small quantity of a cranberry jalapeno beer that was fantastic. It had all the flavor but not the heat. I will definitely go back next time I'm in town.

This place may be the best brewery I've been to in 2014.Holy cow, where to start?! Walking in, you automatically pick up the laid back vibe of the place. The music does not impede with your thoughts or conversation with the other great clientele. The beers, though. Yes. Everything I tried was on par with the absolute best beers I've ever had. I tried the Agitated Aardvark Imperial IPA, the Double Cream Ale, and the Almost Winter Ale. If you like Whiskey, and can get your hands on the Almost Winter, do it. It will be the best thing you've had in a long, long time.

This small and fairly new brewery is in an industrial zone near the airport, but it is certainly worth the effort to track it down. I was there recently for a private event with a group of folks and the owners were warm and welcoming - just like the beer. There are about a half dozen "standard" offerings, and then about another half dozen special or experimental choices - with one typically on nitro. There are enough choices for most any taste - my fav was the Vanilla Caramel Double Cream Ale on nitro that night. For a taproom at the brewery, where they are trying to introduce/promote their wares, I thought the prices were a little high - but the quality was certainly there.

Hidden in an industrial zone, next to a metal recycling plant with torn up planes, you'll find this small brewery that has nothing to hide.Have great ales and stouts at their tasting room or catch the last rays of the day on their patio. The Bad Panda Coffee Stout is a killer. Great find. Will come again.

Highlight of a recent trip to Fort Collins, CO was our time spent at the Horse & Dragon. Friendly owners, cool tasting room and tasty beers. My favorites were Sad Panda and Bounty of the Bine. Take a tour while you are there - really interesting. Great place to spend some time drinking beer with friends, old and new!

Most people, when thinking of Ft Collins Breweries, think of the big boys (Odells, New Belgian...) but I have read many an excellent review from various beer geeks, and one of my friends that lives in Ft Collins highly recommended it. I will say that I am a giant beer nerd, but few breweries have the owner and the head brewer out there talking with the customers. This place not only had fantastic beers (Sad Panda was my favorite, and a great coffee stout), but I got to talk to both the owner and head brewer. It was one of the best experiences I had while in Colorado. Yeah, the beer was great, but I would like to stress the experience was even better. I hope when people go to Ft Collins, to enjoy some brews, they do not pass up on this tasty, fun stop.

If you like classic beer styles then you will like Horse and Dragon. It seems what they have done is created shining examples of classic beer styles according to the BJCP Style Guidelines. The beauty of this style of brewing is that it brings the more subtle and nuanced flavors in beer to the fore. Rather than overwhelm your palate with intense or overly complex flavors—as seems to be the trend among micro and craft brewers these days—they invite you to savor the subtle, but no less intoxicating, flavors and aromas of the base ingredients. As a veteran homebrewer and lover of all things beer, I know that the ability to achieve balance and nuance in ones beer is the hallmark of a great brewer. That is what they have achieved at Horse and Dragon.

The Horse and Dragon Brewing Company is a small, family run, craft beer brewer in Fort Collins, Colorado. It's been around for a little bit and I finally got around to going there in July 2014. They brew a variety of beers that they serve in their tap room from about noon to 6 p.m. They do not serve food, as is the case with most small craft breweries in CO. This is a cozy place, with friendly owners and a friendly crowd. When I went there, I was surprised that beer lovers from other states had stopped in to sample the beers. Minnesota, Connecticut, and a couple of others. Take a short tour--it's short because it's small. I live in Fort Collins, and we do have a number of fine smaller and larger breweries around. Plus breweries in nearby towns--well, you would think we were a bunch of borrachos, but we're not. You have to hunt for this a little bit, but it is not far from other local breweries, including Funkwerks, Odell's, New Belgium, Pateros Creek, and others. If you come from out of town--and like different brews, you can spend plenty of time sampling different breweries in Fort Collins, Loveland, Windsor, Greeley and other nearby towns. Have fun!!
