This is a single restored trolley car than runs a couple of miles from a park to old town. The round trip takes about 30 minutes, and transfers are available so you can spend time at either end of the route. It is a fun ride with information on local history given by the motorman and the conductor, who are volunteers. It operates only on summer weekends and holidays.

I just wish it went further and there were more. It's cheap and fun to ride between downtown and city park. The guys that volunteer are super friendly and love to talk about it and show kids whatever they're curious about. It's a fun thing to do while spending time downtown.

In the nineteen teens Fort Collins was served by a network of trolleys. There are few pieces of track still embedded in roads. A single short line has been restored down Mountain Avenue from City Park to the edge of the Downtown. The trolley is beautifully restored and the short run down the town's most historic street is a nice afternoon activity - especially with smaller children. Getting off the trolley in downtown you are a short walk to Walrus Ice Cream.

If you're visiting or a long time resident, you must ride the trolley. Kids love it and it's just plain fun.

An old timey trolly type rail car takes you to old town Ft Collins. A fun ride for old and young alike. The volunteers do a great job and can answer almost any question you ask. A great way to not have to find parking downtown.

Very fun experience especially for the kids. Very cool to hear about Fort Collins in the past and that they have resuced the trolly.

We saw municipal railway located on the map and thought it was unique. Followed the tracks and found the trolley getting ready to leave. Glad they'd rescued it and had it running again.

An all volunteer group, what a great job. Very professional and knowledgable. Certainly worth the fare and nice t-shirt souvenir

A short ride down Mountain Avenue on the Fort Colins trolley is always a fun thing to do. I often take my visitors on this trip. There is the option of getting off in Old Town and returning later. The price is right and the volunteers who work on the trolley are fun to talk to!

Looking for a fun way to visit Old Town Fort Collins in the summer? Head to City Park and take the trolley down. This way you don't have to worry about parking in Old Town and you get the special experience of riding down Mountain Avenue on the trolley.

Over the years, members of the Fort Collins Municipal Railway Society have put in a huge effort to bring back a wonderful historic experience for the community and visitors. Birney Car 21 is beautifully restored, and Car 25 is also being reconditioned and brought back to its original colors. What a fabulous ride down the median of a beautiful street in Fort Collins -- great for the whole family.

The restored Fort Collins trolley is a cheap, fun way to ride down memory lane. My only complaint is that it only runs during the summer months.

This was an enjoyable ride on a genuine 1915 streetcar. It was $2 return from the City Park to the Old Town or vice versa. You had the option of getting off and catching a later car back. I started at City Park which was probably the easiest for parking. I drove around in circles for a while looking for the start point – it is near the swimming pool. They run on summer weekends and holidays. All run by volunteers who have done a splendid job of restoration. Go!

I was visiting my daughter at CSU over the weekend. While she had some activities on Saturday, I drove to City Park and rode the trolley. What a gem! A great ride down Mountain Ave., gorgeous homes lining the way, and the look on faces of kids riding is priceless. I liked it so much I went again later with my daughter who enjoyed it as well. Run by very dedicated and informative volunteers, if you visit FC, make this a must do. You can ride round trip from City Park, or get a transfer and roam Old Town for a while and return later.

My fiance is a huge train fan, so we had to ride this beautiful heritage trolley. In addition to a beautiful, comfortable ride for a very reasonable price, this trolley actually goes somewhere. It runs from a popular park to a stop a block away from the historic Old Town district. We rode the trolley from the park to Old Town. We wandered around looking at historic buildings, an interesting art installation, and the various shops. We had lunch and then headed back with our transfer tickets. It was a great ride. Round trip is only $2 for one adult ($1 for kids.)
