Cannot recommend the day spa due to a lack of adequate staff, despite a 3 week reservation for the day spa service. Sadly, the only person providing pedicures was excellent, but was severely overbooked. One person left after waiting an hour and a half for her appointment, When management/owner was contacted regarding the overbooking and long wait, the response was rude and condescending.

I purchased the bath and massage voucher through Livingsocial.com and was supposed to have my appointment today. I opted just to have the massage. Upon arriving I was asked to fill out a Health questionnaire which I completed accurately. I was then greeted by the masseuse, Theresa, and she took me to the room. We went over my questionnaire, stated that I was "healthy" and she left me to prepare for the massage. She returned, and began the massage, my nose started to run, I sniffed and she asked if I was ok? I said yes and she asked if I had allergies or a head cold? I replied that I may be coming down with a head cold. I had no idea what a debacle this would become. She said oh, you didn't put that on your health form. I felt no reason to as I was not feeling ill in any way. My nose began to run when I was placed face down on the massage table. I apparently was showing no signs of being ill since she had no problem proceeding with my massage after greeting me in the lobby and speaking to me in the room. She immediately excused herself, then returned and again repeated you didn't put this on your health form. She then stated that it's not good for you or me, as I cannot work on customers if I get sick and I'm going to have to ask you to leave. She left me to get dressed. I was handed my livingsocial.com voucher back by the girl at the front desk and told to reschedule within the first 2 weeks of October if I was feeling better. If this is a common practice for the spa then they should make clients aware at the time they schedule appointments that IF they should feel like they are coming down with an illness to cancel their appointments immediately. I would not have wasted my time this morning waiting for my appointment and driving to your establishment to be embarrassed by the Masseuse and asked to leave because I came down with a slight case of the sniffles.

My husband and I recently had our first weekend off together in a very long time, so I surprised him by booking a weekend away. Since the massage therapist at our lodging was not available this weekend, I searched for another spa for us to use. Based on the reviews, I chose Medberry. We had a 30 minute mineral bath and a 60 minute couples massage. When we arrived, I thought that there would be a room to place our belongings and a place to relax. No- all there is is the waiting area. We got to listen to a child argue with his mother. We were then ushered back to our bath. It was listed as body temperature 98-100 degrees. My husband stepped in and said, "this is cold." We spent half of the bath letting water out just to get warm water in the tub. It was ok, but definitely not relaxing. We were then told that they were ready for our massages. Since they don't have a room for belongings, we were to put our things in a quilted bag to carry. My husband is a biker, so this was sort of funny. In our robes and with our bags (and my purse and my other bag) we got to walk through the waiting room again. We were introduced and then started our massages. I took a quick look at the clock. I told my lady I had back and shoulder pain. My husband told the same to the gentleman doing his massage. The massages started at ten after the hour.My husband had a great experience. His therapist put warm gel pads on his back and really made sure to work on his problem areas. He was very pleased. My experience was relaxing, but nothing close to what my husband received. After what seemed to be only 10-15 minutes, I was switched to my back. She spent the most time on my feet. When over, I looked at the clock at it was 5 minutes to the hour- so a grand total of 50 minutes- we paid for 60 minutes. When we were done- we had to go to the bank down the street because we could not put tips on our credit card.

My daughter and I reserved times for a hot stone massage and reflexology pedicure and a regular pedicure both in tandem rooms. Reservationist made a mistake and scheduled a regular massage instead of the hot stone. They were booked so we were out of luck. $40.00 was deducted as a fee for the tandem room but no apology was given for the error. The atmosphere is not relaxing and the rooms looked dirty.Charged $365.00 for services and paid $80.00 for gratuities to the staff. The masseuses were not friendly and the massage left a lot to be desired. The pedicures took 2.5 hours because only one pedicurist was scheduled to work on both of us at the same time.We are surprised that this inn is still open. Terrible experience.

I had a 1o'clock appointment to have just eye brows waxed. I wasn't seen until 1:15. When i went in the wax I requested was not ready yet. Another 5 minutes. As the "professional" applied the smoldering wax to my left brow she went on to tell me she is not familiar with this type of wax it is not requested often... I should of ran out then .. When it came time to pull it off she could not rip it from my skin. It came off in pieces, getting stuck in my hair, forehead and brow hair. I remain as patient and calm as i can while this woman is fumbling to try and get this wax off me. Pulling at my brow hair and skin I left that salon with golf size welts on my brow bone, bright red skin that was oily from her trying to get the remaining green wax off me, and this is the best part a HUGE hack mark where she took scissors and cut my eyebrow in half!! All she had to say is "you don't have to pay" not sorry or give me anything as a gesture..NOTHING but rude highly unskilled people! If you want a good job go anywhere but here.

I expected a normal bath service and trim. What I got was the worst hair cut of my life a rude solaon employee and a even ruder front desk worker. When I tried to express my confusion and distress - he yelled at me said it was my problem and that it wasn't his problem. I was not yelling or being rude mind you but that's how I was treated. Save yourself and don't go. You would be better off dipping your toes in a pond and going to SuperCuts than going to the Medberry. Truely, don't put yourself through it.
