one of the most beautifully sited houses in the world! The house itself has been restored beautifully, if even though somewhat over the top. This whole areA of the Hudson River, both north and south is glorious!CAVEAT....The house is open only occassionally, usually for a benefirt event.

Edgewater house, located at 268 Dock Road in Barrytown NY, is a must see. Richard H. Jenrette has done a wonderful job restoring the home, located on the Hudson River. The house can seen by appointment only. In addition, the people who work there are both knowledgeable and helpful. We visited many historic homes in the area, and the staff at Edgewater was the best, bar none.
