Zoom Flume is a small park. There are only a few big slides, and I would say this park is best for kids around 10 or under. We enter and go straight to the wave pool. The big river raft is also fun. Zip line costs extra and we have not tried it. Coolers are allowed in most areas, and we do take advantage of that perk.A small issue is that Pelican Pond (a spray area with a minislide for the little ones) is surrounded by the lazy river, yet there is only a rope fence around it. I was afraid to take my hands off my toddler for fear she would slip in and be swept away. Also, the lazy river in general seems a lazy effort. There isn't much to look at and it gets very shallow near the end, to the point that you must walk if your feet are below the tube. The main activity pool (with the Tiki) tends to be cold.Still, the park is clean, well-staffed and shady. It can be exhausting to hike up all the hills, but the topography makes the park fun and unique. I feel the cost of a day pass is way overpriced. Also, I would not drive more than 30 miles to get here, as there is not all that much to do here, or in the area in general. But the season pass is less than twice the day pass price, and if you are not driving far, it is a fun break from the heat. We are here every hot morning during the summer.

Vouchers were included for free in our trip to Gavin's resort in the area and it was a great park with some scary slides and a fun wave pool. Good for all ages, kids and risk takers as a variety of choices. Not much shade so wear sun block!. As I don't do scary things I loved the lazy river! Don't know how much it costs as,we got free tickets, but would recommend it!

I like this place very much. I think there a little over priced but its worth it. The staff can be rude at times but over all, I recommend this place for shure.

This place is great and the kids had a blast, very clean, great rides, staff were so nice especially the older lady at the ticket area, it's best to get the season pass as its great value, the food is a bit expensive in the park so it's best to bring in some refreshments, can't wait for the summer of 2015

Clean, well maintained and relatively low priced water park. Fun with kids for a day trip. Will likely come back next year.

Brought my nephew here 2 months ago. The park does not bill itself as a huge amazing watermark, but since my nephew isn't big on watersides we decided to bring him here. The place is nestled in the mountains of the catskills in a quiet suburban area. This is a great place to avoid crowds as well. The atmosphere is relaxing and quiet. The food is decent and the prices are reasonable. We were able to do almost everything in only a few hours and some attractions twice. Don't expect big thrill rides here, but if you want a nice, quiet, small oasis this is the place to visit.

Took my grandson (6) and granddaughter (9) for some adventure. Both were excited. Little did I know that both were scared of waterslides ... which is why we went. Soooo, after 4 turns around the Lazy River (inflated Cheerios), I made them go on the Wild River ride ... which was all of us in a big round tube flung down a large undulating plastic slope. After they saw that we weren't going to die, they then progressed to water slides... which is why we went. While we took a picnic lunch to save funds (and there were plenty of places to picnic) the food sold there was tantalizing. The place was clean and neat and well attended to. About 1 hour and 15 minutes from New Paltz, NY - through the Irish town of East Durham (lots of Irish venues) it was a great day and I highly recommend it.

We have been visiting zoom flume every year while vacationing at Gavins and my grandchildren always have a wonderful time.........It seems they have been upgrading the park and it shows.....This is a wonderful attraction to visit while in the Catskills.....who would think in the mountains is a fun family water park!

I didn't realize this place was so close to my house. Let me start off by saying this is a great day out. It is small with a few water rides, but it is clean and they have a great staff. They have one big ride called the zip line, I was disappointed because it had a weight limit of 225 lbs. and I was a few ponds over so I could not go on. The food is reasonably priced, the hamburgers and hot dogs are fresh of the grill, and they are cooked to order.

Lots of fun...water is cold! Will cool things off for you fast. As fast as the slides will send you. Can't beat the deal with a season pass. Just going twice, and pass will pay for itself. If you close enough to enjoy...ENJOY!

We visited Zoom Flume a couple of days ago and I was deeply disappointed. Let me start off by saying that due to possible inclement weather I called ahead and explained that we would only be in the area that day and asked about their rain policy. I was told that they were open but they would probably be closing around 1:00pm because of the weather but would be issuing tickets for another day. We decided to go for a couple of hours and if they closed we would just make another day trip of it. We arrived around 10:30 and their was a sign in the window stating what I just said. As we started walking around we realized half the rides didn't open until 11:00. Okay, fine we went on the lazy river. The lifeguard was very friendly. After that everything went down hill. About 45 minutes later it started to thunder. They understandably closed the water rides until it passed. Needless to say, this happened 2 additional times. the first 2 times the rides were closed approximately 30- 45 minutes the last time was almost an hour. So basically, we went on 2 rides and then had to sit in the rain and thunder because they decided to change the signs on the ticket window to NO REFUNDS/ NO RAINCHECKS and they were not closing. Yes, after everyone paid and was in the park they actually changed the signs. Unbelievable, but not even the biggest issue I had with the place. Safety, was my biggest concern. While we were waiting for the rides to reopen, we decided to get something to eat and sit under a covered area, we were reprimanded that it was a no food area and were told we had to move to uncovered tables in the pouring rain and thunder. Obviously, the food was ruined and had to be thrown out. They would rather have people sit in the rain and thunder. It amazed me that the lifeguards were so concerned about that yet, I wont generalize and say all but at least 5 of them had no business being lifeguards, completely distracted, dancing, talking to each other and goofing off not paying attention at all. One guy got yelled at twice in front of me for not doing his job and then got moved to the totem pole pool(not sure of the name) he then stared up at his umbrella for almost 10 minutes while dancing on and off. It is also a shame that they have only one lifeguard at that pool, yet their is 2 chairs. The visibility is not good at all. Another way to save money I guess. After all that they started making urgent announcements that if anyone bought tickets to the zip line to go immediately to get on the ride. We overhead a senior lifeguard saying that they just didn't want to refund the money if it thundered again. That's exactly what happened. It immediately started to thunder and they actually had people on the zipline. They would rather keep the $8.00. I could not even believe this. That is the point where we actually walked out. There was a large group in front of us all saying they would never return. We won't either.

This is my first trip to Zoom Flume and probably my last. Admission is 27.99 for anyone over the age of 7. Employees were friendly and the place was clean. It's a fun place but my 11 year old and 16 year old were bored after 2 hours. Truthfully, there are about 8 slides, a very small wave pool, and activity area for younger kids and that's it. If there were more to do then I would of rated this park more than average. We arrived at 11:00am and while we were in the lazy river, the park employees asked for our tubes because they needed them for other guests that were waiting to experience this ride. Really? Are you kidding me? That was it for me. It was 4pm by then. I gave the employee my tube and left the park. Will I go back? Probably not. However, its not a bad day trip on a hot summer day.

The water park is not the largest we've been to, but even on a weekend day, we never waited more than 15 or 20 minutes for a ride, and most often, not even close to that. The staff is very friendly. If you choose to get into a splash battle with them, though, be prepared to lose! My kids had a great time, and we didn't feel like we had to watch them like hawks here, as we would at a much larger park. Overall, a great value and a lot of fun.
