I don't know what people are complaining about. I was there with my buddy last year and had a great time. The owner , Bob, never said anything nasty to me even after I broke off the key in the boat I rented. He came to where we were stuck and gave me another key and said "Well sometimes these things happen". I just got back again from there with my girlfriend and she fell in love with the place. We had a great boat and a very, very nice studio cottage. We are planning to go again next year for a full week. My buddy and I are going there again at the end of the month for 3 days and are very excited about it. The family is great and will take care of all of your needs. They are friendly and considerate as long as you are. The only way I could ever see them getting upset with anyone is if the people acted like jerks and didn't follow the few, very reasonable rules that they have. I have never seen such a hard working family owned place like this. I have recommended it to all of my friends and I want to thank Bob, Judy and their wonderful daughter for such a relaxing time and some great fishing. The cottages are extremely clean housekeeping cottages, all they ask of you is to leave them the way that you found them, no smoking in the cottage and have a great time. I have been going up to the Islands for 50 years and seaway slips is now the only place that I want to stay. Had a lot of good talks and laughs with Bob.The view of the bay and river is beautiful and they keeps the grounds spotless. Thanks again to the Pinchin family for a wonderful 4 days. See you in a few weeks.Andrew Tubiolo and Anne Rossi

We rented a 22 foot pontoon boat for July 4th, 2013. I couldn't get the boat started once I return to our dock. (I lifted to motor out of the water, as it was explained that the propeller on a recently rented boat struck ground.) I was insulted by the owner in front of my wife and kids. Reference was made to my lack of "common sense." I was not called an "idiot" as the last poster reported, but the owner meant it. "How do you think the motor is supposed to cool?" When the owner was able to get the motor started, and said "so what's the problem?" with sarcasm. The condescending tone and attitude was disturbing to say the least. My wife cried upon returning the boat because of the stress and the disrespectful treatment. My money was returned in full by the owner's wife, who was professional and respectful.
