When the flowers are in bloom this place is amazing. There is a touching 911 Memorial Globe in a fountain. This is a great place to wander, meditate, reflect or read. We were here around Christmas to see the Christmas decorations which were great. They also have a small room that you could rent.

I frequently go here to see the new seasonal flowers and walk the mazed path throughout the flower beds, the rock gardens, the 911 Memorial Floating Globe, the small waterfalls and resting benches. There is a small building that houses a kitchen, a meeting/dining room surrounding by pergolas filled with wisteria and other flowering vines. I've been to bridal and baby showers here in this building, which is rented out for such occasions. You can even have your wedding reception here by renting a large bridal tent on a large lawn nearby the small stone building that also has clean restrooms.In the winter, you can come at night to see the parade of Christmas tree lights. But at any time, this place gets you a respite from all the worries you carry on your shoulders.

This is a secret to most people, Even getting in.. the gate is closed.. you pull up and it opens for you.. real nice to walk around and relax

There are 35-acres of gardens, specimen trees, walking trail, pond and education center. It's a lovely place to visit spring through fall, with the ever changing gardens and trees. Especially beautiful is the wisteria trellis that blooms in the spring. It's in bloom for Mother's Day and well worth visiting at this time of year. A path winds through the park, and there is a place to sit by the pond and enjoy the serenity of the area. Numerous benches throughout the walkways provide the perfect opportunity to sit, relax and absorb the beauty of the park. If you like taking pictures, the raised gardens and cascading water features are a photographers delight.The Arboretum trains volunteers to serve as docents, guides and gardeners and offers a wonderful opportunity to enjoy hands-on gardening projects. The September 11 Memorial features a stunning rotating granite sculpture of the earth, surrounded by the names of the residents that lost their lives that day. The education center is available to rent for meetings and the grounds can also be rented for events. Overall, it is a wonderful place to visit and absorb the beauty of nature.
