freeport water taxi & tours

i work on the nautical mile and always see this water taxi go by while tending to customers. i looked into it, and found out they do a few diffent things. you can take it as just a taxi from point lookout into freeport, do a sunset tour which i did, go bird and seal watching. Its cute, its peaceful and fun, they place some music and have a tiny little bar where you can get beer,wine or a mixed drink,you have a few to choice from.It was very nice, i enjoyed it

I went with my family today, and had such a great time that we can't wait to go again in spring. What a great service by the captain and his shipmate Gary. The captain was driving the boat so safely when other (speed) boats drove-by causing waves. Kids loved hot chocolate and we loved coffee from on board.

We went with another couple on the sunset taxi. What a wonderful operation. The staff were friendly and up beat. The first mate gave information on what to look at - we are locals so we new the waters well. The drinks on board were excellent and were reasonably priced. The boat does a loop at a nice slow pace - never rushed. Just a great relaxing trip.

My husband and I took friends on the sunset cruise as a birthday gift, and I'm so glad we did! This ride was so pleasant and the sunset was AMAZING! The water was beautiful and the crew were friendly. This was literally "smooth sailing," from start to finish! Oh, and they sell drinks onboard. No snacks, but you can bring your own! The seal watching and sunsets cruises were fantastic! My friends and family had a great time. Smooth sailing. Great crew.

I just went on a tour on the Freeport Water Taxi & Tour boat for Seal Watching and it was awesome. Because the boat accommodates only 28 passengers, it felt like a family cruise. Not only did we see about 70 seals, but the captain, Rick made us feel so special. The crew was also very informative with regard to the migration of the Seals to the inland waterways of Long Island. Captain Rick invited us to come back during the Summer for one of his other popular cruises including Sunset Cruises, Happy Hour Cruises, After Dinner Cruises and their Wine and Spirits Summer Series which includes Regional Wineries, local Craft Beers and micro Distilleries. All in all we thought it was a wonderful time and a great value!
