We visited on a snowy Friday night. Jennifer was a very warm and informative host. Her husband Tom was too, even while working! We learned how the business was born and about all aspects of the operation. We were very impressed with the use of super local ingredients. Equally as impressive were the spirits we tasted. Vodka was very smooth. Adirondack Applejack was also mellow and Chancellor's Hardscrabble Applejack was a bit more robust. We bought a bottle of each to take home! This is a great way to spend some time and support a new business.

I visited HVD with a friend after work on a Friday evening. I visited with a friend and we had a Groupon for the tour/tasting/souvenir glasses. Tom and Chris were fantastic hosts and really showed us the details of their operation and their creative ideas for new spirits! As a chemist, I was very impressed with their knowledge of the science and their appreciation for the art of distilling. Their vodka, applejack, and whisky had unique and subtle flavors. I took a bottle of Adirondack Applejack home with me! Cheers :)

My husband and I visited this new distillery for a tour and tasting. Jen is a lovely host and gave us an informative tour of their operation. The tasting was just what you'd expect with lots of notes about the flavors of the spirits. The vodka was superb, in fact both my husband and I were very surprised by its creaminess and complete lack of burn. They had bottled hardscrabble Applejack that morning that was delicious. I recommend Hudson Valley Distillers to those who like spirits and small farm distilleries in particular.

Don't miss this attraction on Route 9!!! The founders and their family will greet you with a smile, show you around the neat old and recently renovated barn where they alchemize quality spirits from locally sourced fruits, grains and botanicals, and then share some samples with you. Stop in, you won't be disappointed.

Spending the weekend in Hudson and came across Hudson Valley Distillers. My husband and I were given a cool tour of the distillery followed by tastings of vodka and applejack. Owners were very knowledgable and they make great products! Enjoyed our visit and highly recommend!

We visited Hudson Valley Distillers during their grand opening weekend in late June. They had a pig roast as well as a band playing and it was a nice, laid back atmosphere. The distillery is set in an apple farm which was beautiful and added to the overall atmosphere. We had a distillery tour with Tom, one of the owners of the distillery. It was a very informative background on the distilling process as well learning about some of the things that make Hudson Valley Distillers unique as craft distillers. Tom's passion for producing premium craft spirits was evident during his tour.Following the tour we had a tasting of their applejack and vodka. I really enjoyed their hardscrabble applejack which is aged oak barrels. The vodka is also made from apples which gave it great sweet finish. We ended up buying a few bottles of each. The tour and tasting were well worth the visit and will return when we need to restock! We also can't wait to taste what other spirits they produce.

The owners are our neighbors. They had a free opening on July 28th. Tour was short but very informative. Ended with a tasting. Not a fan of straight vodka. Have a bottle of Applejack. I think a little pricey for this area.

Whilentraveling in the area we took a chance and stopped by this wonderful establishment. We were greeted so warmly by the owners. He took us on an enlightening journey through his distillery. His passion and willingness to share his craft were priceless. We then went for a tasting - delicious! WOW! We highly recommend visiting.
