We've been to Waterfront Park for the ADK Trail Days and recently to catch the end of the Pumpkin Festival. It's a nice little park overlooking the water, that definitely seems to function as something of a town square / gathering place of Northville. The stage lends to this feeling. We really appreciated the community atmosphere at the park. With the Village Scoop near the entrance and the Northville-Placid Trailhead being placed there now, with its beautiful wooden archway, it really is a nice place to spend time or meet up with people. Looking forward to more reasons to visit Waterfront Park in the future.

Nice place to have ice cream with our family. Our granddaughters loved running back and forth from the grandstand to the benches with breaks for a bite of ice cream. Two places for ice cream very close to park and perfectly located to enjoy a little outside time and sweet treat.

Waterfront Park in Northville played host to the National Trails Day festivities this weekend, and showed that it could support use of several thousand people over the course of the day. Exhibitors had plenty of space to set of a LOT of booths and tables, and the background (Great Sacandaga Lake) showed its beauty through the trees around the park. The bands used the bandstand at the back of the park, and everyone had a grand time. This park is a real asset to the town.

Even in winter, we loved this find, an easy walk off Main Street in Northville, NY. They are adding an archway to the park that will begin the new start point of the Northville/Placid hiking trail June 2014, with a big festival there for such June 7&8, 2014, which I understand will be an annual festival. We've also enjoyed their farmer's markets in this park and the music provided by the Sacandaga Valley Arts Network in the summer. The views from this park over the Great Lake Sacandaga are stunning. A wonderful place to just sit in peace or enjoy an outing as the village provides.

Waterfront Park is a really pretty (and partially hidden) park, located right on the lake in downtown Northville. For the most part, this park is hidden behind the businesses on Main Street, although they are soon adding an archway sign in Adirondack style to the park's entrance. This park is designed fur multi-purpose use. You can simple stroll through the grounds and enjoy the fine view down into the lake, or you can at one of the many picnic tables and enjoy music from the bandstand. This park is often used by the local organizations to host gatherings and festivals, and it will be the site of the 2014 National Trails Day festivities (June 7-8, 2014).Don't miss the opportunity to visit this hidden gem of a spot!
